Thank you for sharing these videos, Stella.
Can’t seem to get enough of the President and First Lady, particularly when they are off US soil.
Continued prayers for their safety.
Mighty, majestic and graceful – my first thoughts when each plane landed (smooth, like butter, how talented are those pilots!), which reminded me of the qualities possessed by our President and First Lady.
Fascinating to watch the cargo hold be unloaded, as well.
There’s much comfort knowing they are spending the weekend on one of President Trump’s properties in Scotland.
Turnberry, one of the finest golf courses in the world – hope he gets to enjoy a few rounds.
Thank you.

You are welcome! Do you know that each of those planes is 274 feet long, and the cargo area is 121 feet long? They can load and unload from the front, or the back.

People forget about the support aircraft, his staff, armored limo and support vehicles have to get there somehow. Note the guy sitting up above the fuselage just behind the cockpit – you can barely swee his head and shoulders. His job is to look ahead of the aircraft for any obstructions on the ground in front as the pilot’s view of the ground is cut off by the nose. That’s a throwback to the old C-1234 where anything closer than about 100-feet in front of the plane was obscured by the nose and radar.

The C-141 was the transition from military prop-engined aircraft to pure jet and the first one I flew on I thought was amazing. Nowhere near the noise, vibration and stress of flying the old aircraft, it was a joy, I got a lotta miles and stories about them.
The C-5 was something else, it’s like flying an elevator in that on a relaxed takeoff it feels like you’re flying in an elevator – feels like you are horizontal and rising.
The Antonov AN-225 may be bigger but has nowhere near the elegance andv sophistication of the C-5. You’d think that stealing our technology the Russians could do a better job of applying it.

It amazes me that something that large and heavy is as graceful as it is.
