Witness tampering.

It would be interesting to determine just when they decided to start investigating Manafort…before or after he became associated with one of their enemies.
This is a warning to anyone willing to work on President Trump’s or any true Conservative’s campaigns. Work for those we hate, this could happen to you.

I think that is the message they wanted to send. The left is evil and when they have authority they are really evil.

They refused hiom bail as they say they have new charges but where the **** would he go and hide in the US and if they pull his passport…
Yet another DoJ attempt to intimidate a witness into bearing false witness and/or push him into not fighting the charges and take a deal. He’s going to be in prison for 3 months before his trial and the Feds can delay during the trial, keeping his legal costs up and him in jail.
Also, note how they’re grilling him on a public spit, ramping up the charges and fluffing up the media coverage at the same time the IG’s report is a hot media item. Coincidence…I think not.

Yep trying to coerce perjury.
I heard somewhere that the judge did not forbid contact with witnesses. I don’t know it it is true or not.

Even if the judge didn’t all the prfosecutors have to say was they had a reasonable suspicion he was trying to interfere with a witness. It’s the judge’s decision so that tells you they might have a politically sympathertic judge.

Yes I know it is a low bar but she didn’t legally forbid Manafort from having contact with witnesses’ then there is more onerous on the prosecution to show that he tried to interfere with a witness.
Could be that Manafort did try to intimidate and buy a witness. Even if he did it’s a Clinton judge and more than likely a malicious revocation of bail.
Just a bunch of scumbags.

The government has a sympathetic judge and all the prosecution has to do is give that judge a fig leaf of a reason to nail Manafort to a cross.
