This is why I hate the sorry lying POS politicians. They’re literally patting themselves on the back. For what? Teachers still say they’re walking out, but Republicans got their biggest state tax increase in years.
Hell, I’d like them to explain to me why the heck we elected Republicans. We can get taxed to death my democrats who at least are honest that they’re going to tax us instead of these sorry POS who will lie right to your face. One of whom lied to both my husband and myself on our own property when he came around begging for our vote. Nothing I hate more than a liar.
    I am so furious I can’t sleep.

The way our state is set up it takes a super majority to pass revenue bills. The people made that possible so that it would be pretty much impossible for them to rob us. Republicans managed to do it though. Now the people also put another little wrinkle in their ability to steal money from us. All we need is just under 42,000 signatures and we can put it on the ballot to veto their revenue bill.
Our state house consists of 72 Republicans and 28 democrats, only 19 Republicans voted against this bill.
Our Senate consists of 40 Republicans and 8 democrats, only 7 Republicans voted against it.

This is 100% a Republican tax increase and even worse than that it is a job killing bill. Our economy is largely gas and oil production, they will drill elsewhere.

From what I’m seeing and hearing the signatures will be a cake walk. Then it will go to a vote of the people and although I don’t always have the strongest faith in voters, I believe they will come through on this.

Even if they don’t though at least it will be the people who choose and not the government using something the people passed in a way not intended for them to use. This was not an emergency.

I’m angry about the tax increases and I’m even more angry about them being a pack of liars, but what I’m angriest about is them celebrating. Republicans pass the highest tax increase ever it looks like now and they celebrated like a bunch of school kids at a football game.

Now I’m seeing teachers whining and asking why people are blaming them. You have got to be kidding me.

To be fair I haven’t sugar coated the facts or my opinion.
I think what set them over the edge was my FB post that they were let known about.

I wrote that the state gives X amount of money to X school based on number of students. The state sets the minimum salary and then each school district decides how to spend that money and how much of it will go to teacher salaries.
Oklahoma taxpayers deserve an accounting from the state on where the money is being spent across the board not just education. Then we deserve to know how each department is spending that money, including every school district.
We should not be asked to pay any additional taxes until all of them open up their books and show us where our money is going.

They get a little bent out of shape when you start mentioning their school district.

They’re also bullies and the way you stop a bully is to stand up to them.

A retired teacher made a post about how in the 90’s when teachers were demanding more money, she stayed out of it. She did so because she didn’t go into teaching for money and because she believed they got fair pay and great benefits. Not many careers she could have gotten into that she would have the retirement she now has. That she also remembers the divide it caused in our state. That she just wished teachers would ask themselves why they got into teaching and be honest with themselves if they’re doing this for the kids or themselves. Worse if they’re just being followers instead of leaders.

                    She was immediately attacked.

A very brave young lady who is a second year teacher posted she was grateful her school voted to not walk out. She went on to say she was grateful for the people who paid taxes so she could get help to get her teaching degree. She is grateful to be paid as well as she is for doing something she dreamed of doing and a job she loved. That she could never walk out on her students or ask the people to pay more for her. She grew up watching her parents who ran their own business stressing every year on how to pay their taxes. It is unfair to ask her parents to pay more so she can have a raise. Those people have done so much already and without them most teachers wouldn’t have been able to get a degree. More of us should be thanking those people instead of demanding they give us more.

                    She was attacked as well.

She pretty much shut them up with one simple statement.

People always get angry when you speak the truth and in their hearts they know it’s the truth.

It doesn’t bother me, it’s not the first time they quit talking to me and I doubt it will be the last. I don’t make it a secret my opinion on public schools and the majority of teachers these days. I know a few good teachers, but that’s part of the problem good teachers are becoming the exception instead of the rule.

I’m getting a good laugh out of some their comments tonight.
Teacher’s are selling their plasma to put food on their own table for their own children! Taxes united and Coburn should be ashamed!

This is not about the teachers. It’s about your kids. What teachers do affects kids well into their lives. Think about it. A kid learns to think, can make good choices, can go to college, can have many choices about their career. No teenage pregnancy, no bad health habits, no living paycheck to paycheck.

These were the top two that cracked me up. There are many more though, all basically the same sort of stupidity. Next they’re going to be selling body parts so they don’t starve. They’ll be parting the seas for the little kids to cross, once they’re back in the classroom that is. Schools being closed Monday has been rolling across our television all evening.

                  • My daughter works for our local district andthings have changed so much from when she was a student. We pulled her out at the beginning of her 10th grade year and homeschooled her. It was for health reasons primarily, but we were seeing changes in the culture and education. The leftward slide is much more obvious, just 10 years later. It’s sad to see. So much indoctrination.

When my kids were young they went to a little country school that just went up to 8th grade. The majority of the teachers were good people and good teachers. They had Christmas programs, Easter programs and there wasn’t the indoctrination like today. One teacher tried that stuff and told one of my kids they couldn’t have their Bible at school, after I got finished informing her what she would not say or do again, I went to the principal/superintendent. My children no longer had her. The next year she no longer had a class.

They had a reunion type thing awhile back for former students and parents. No way would my kids go to school their now. All of the good teachers left or retired when the principal/superintendent retired. They don’t have anymore students than they did back then, but they have a superintendent, principal and vice-principal. It takes 3 now I guess to do the job of one.
There were all kinds of new buildings and new ball fields along with a new gym. It had way more buildings than were needed for the number of students.
Teachers were dressed more like call girls than teachers.

The current children held a concert of their “Winter Holiday” concert and their “Spring” concert. When my kids went to school they were called Christmas and Easter concert.

I see stuff like that and then hear them whine they don’t have enough money. Just maybe your spending your money on things you don’t really need.

I agree, but until public schools collapse I just don’t see it happening. Parents today want to just dump their kids off and not care what they are learning. Schools just want bigger slices of the pie.
I believe once upon a time schools were careful with the money, but then administrators figured out it was easier to run campaigns “it’s for the kids” to get more money.
It’s easy to spend other people’s money.

In WI you can look up the salary of any individual school employee, teachers really, really don’t like that little annoying fact. It’s hard to bellyache about making 75,000 a year while getting 3 months of vacation with a cushy retirement and health plan when everyone knows how much you are getting paid.

Scott Walker did do us a huge favor and gave our economy a huge boost when he took away the Teacher’s Union Cadillac pensions and platinum health care. Those teachers were pitchfork spitting mad. Absolutely livid crazy tomfoolery.

I am so glad this is her last year and we will finally be rid of her for good.

I was reading some of these teachers on a group they have on FB. They approved me awhile back before one of my teacher family members unfriended me on FB. I’m surprised she hasn’t figured out I’m a member of their group yet. I know they only approved me because she was on my friends list. lol They keep saying they have spies on the group. hahaha

They were telling each other to make sure all words on their signs were spelled correctly and to make sure they looked up words they didn’t know how to spell. I can’t wait to see how well they do their homework.
They think they have a movement for teachers all across the country who are not appreciated. They’re going to save public education and destroy anyone who gets in their way.
They despise home school and want it illegal for parents without a degree in education to teach their kids. Yet they’re not to blame for kids who can’t learn that’s the fault of the parents for not teaching them at home.

They are idiots and need to be knocked down a peg or two.
It’s funny though on their personal little group they don’t talk about how they’re having to sell their plasma or get on food stamps. Many of them are talking about making time for shopping and good places to eat while they’re there. Some of the restaurants they’re discussing sure are expensive for people who are so poor they have to sell their plasma. Not only though are they walking out on their students, they’re leaving their own kids with babysitters or telling their spouses they need to take off work.

My brother-in-law said he asked a teacher at his grandchildrens’ school what would happen if all the cops, firefighters, doctors, nurses, farmers, delivery drivers, etc. walked out? That when they think they’re so important they need to think which would make a greater impact and in case she didn’t know teachers were way down of impact on that list.
Teachers aren’t as needed as they think, parents could just teach their own kids or a community could get together build a one room house and hire a teacher to educate their kids.
He said that ticked her off, so he kept going and asked exactly what the school did with the last bond they got passed that was supposed to be for books and to replace old heating and air equipment. Why are they still saying their kids have 20 year old books?
Just maybe since they tore up all the grass on the football field and replaced it with artificial turf and the football team got new uniforms and the cheerleaders got new uniforms they didn’t spend the money like they were supposed to.
She came back and said kids needed uniforms and kids have been playing sports for years. He told her that yes and when his daughter was a cheerleader they held fund raisers to raise money for uniforms and what they couldn’t raise parents paid for.

She came back and said not all kids had parents that could afford that. He told her yes and when his daughter was in school not all parents could afford it then either, but those girls didn’t cheer.

He was asked to not pick his grandkids up anymore. He told them to kiss his butt. lol

Another commented that her teachers copy math book was so old half the pages had fallen out. How would people like if they didn’t have the tools to do their job.
Someone asked her if she had paper and a pencil, that should be all the tools a math teacher needs to come up with the answers.

I get sick of hearing them say they haven’t had a raise in 8 years. The state sets the minimum salary, their school district decides the pay.
I never hear them complain their district pays one superintendent as much as 4 or 5 teachers make. I think the average now is around $130,000 per year. Oklahoma has way too many districts over 500. Then you add in the cost of all the staff to run the superintendent’s office. Yet, they don’t want to consolidate schools and cut down on administration costs.

They don’t complain when school districts spend millions on sports facilities and new uniforms every year. Free after school programs that the school district funds. Those did come from somewhere else, but now I know of several schools that pay for it. Basically, it’s another free daycare that taxpayers pay for to keep kids until their parents get off work at 5.
Several schools recently bought band instruments for all the band kids.

I am not anti-sports or electives, however I think parents should pay for uniforms and band instruments as well as field trips. It is not a part of education.
When kids go to private schools, they pay tuition and then all electives are an extra cost.

I searched and found a watchdog group that got a list of salaries for 2016.
I’m just now going through them. My county has 8 schools, total of all Superintendents is $869,953. Only 3 of these schools have more than 1,000 kids enrolled. The bottom three have 128, 116 and 81 kids enrolled. If you just closed those three schools down, you’d save almost $232,000 just in salaries for superintendents. I’ve asked around about those schools and learned each superintendent office has one secretary and one receptionist, plus a building devoted to their office. Those 3 schools have a total of 24 teachers, although not all are accredited teachers, so they could be making below the minimum salary. Still a lot of money could be saved by closing them down.

Instead of taxing us, they should have to live like regular folks, when the money isn’t there we have to cut out the conveniences. Come up with a number of students in order to have your own school, if you just used 1500 as an example, this county would only have one school that qualified. Every town in this county is within 15 miles of each other, consolidate all the schools into one. Just in superintendents salaries you’ve saved over $700,000 and it solves the teacher shortage they claim we have.
Schools don’t like it and suddenly there isn’t enough positions to hire all the teachers and a few lose their job, oh well. I guess they shouldn’t whine and demand more money. Parents don’t like being inconvenienced, oh well maybe more of you should have shown up at board meetings and demanded teachers that walk out be fired. Maybe you should have bought your kids’ uniforms or told the school you didn’t need new sports facilities.

Try to get them to admit that though.

They like to throw up Arkansas and Texas constantly, but ignore when you point out the actual starting minimum salary in Oklahoma is more than either Arkansas or Texas. Their districts pay their teachers more.

They also don’t like me pointing out that Oklahoma has 77 counties, yet 520 school districts, each with these outrageous superintendent salaries. Arkansas has 75 counties and 282 school districts. Texas has three times the counties yet 1031 school districts.

Texas spends $8861 per student, Oklahoma spends $8082. Not that much of a difference. Of course that is the average, some districts come out with more than others.
That doesn’t include property tax money they get or bond issues they get passed.
One of these schools in my county only has 128 kids and just from the state they received $1,360,640. If you can’t employ enough teachers and staff and pay the utility bills and buy text books for 128 kids with over a million dollars you need to close your doors.

In my county the average they spend per student is $9118.50. The average private school tuition is $6140 in Oklahoma. Sorry I think they get enough money.

I looked OK up and it said that the avg. teacher’s salary is $48,000. I didn’t think that was bad. Also, something I found interesting, the avg. student class was 16. Amazing. My classes had 25 or more in them. Of course, we were expected to be civilized and respectful to the teacher and other students. And, there was usually only one or two disruptor students in the class.

They don’t want you to know that, they just want you to know the minimum and that they haven’t had a raise in years.

I’m sorry I don’t think even if they all made the minimum it is bad for Oklahoma. Many schools now only go 4 days a week. Not to mention on top of their salary is their health care which is an additional $7000. Most regular folks have to include their healthcare into their salary.

They don’t have it as rough as they claim. Almost all of them have small class sizes and looking at school lists every year at WalMart I’d like to know what supplies they are having to buy. Also another little known fact in Oklahoma is that Indian kids don’t have to buy supplies they are provided for them. Then almost every school district has charities that buy school supplies for low income kids.

Another little unknown fact is that tribes promised to give money to schools with a certain % of Indian kids, part of their casino deal.
When Oklahomans voted for the lottery, that money was supposed to go to education.

This is why imo districts should be forced to open their books and show us exactly how much money is coming in and where it is going. An accounting of every penny.
The state needs to also open up it’s books and show us an accounting.

There should be one place to go and find out every dime coming and every dime going out.

One day a policeman goes into a barber shop for a hair cut. After the hair cut he asks the barber, “How much would that be?”.

The barber replied back,”No, I don’t want your money. Thank you for keeping the community safe.” The policeman says thank you and leaves. The next day, when the barber when to open the store, there was a dozen donuts with a card saying Thank you.

The next day a fireman goes to the barber shop and gets a hair cut. He asks,”How much would that be sir?’ The barber replies, “No , I don’t want your money, the hair cut is a thank you for helping keep our community safe.” The fireman says thanks and leaves. The next day when the barber comes to open the store, there is a giant bowl of firehouse chili waiting for him with a thank you card on the door.

The next day a politician goes into the barber shop and gets a hair cut. He then asks the barber, “How much will that be?”. The barber replies, “I don’t want your money, thank you for your service to America.”

The politician says thanks and leaves.

My state representative who I voted for because I thought he was an honest man, voted for it.
This young man found our house, not easy to do and stood in our yard answering our questions and telling us the kind of man he is. One of the first things he said was how the people needed to be willing and brave enough to fight for our rights. He saw our Gadsden flag and said he was willing and brave enough to not only go to the capitol and fight for our rights but would be willing to fight the government with force if need be.
Taxes was also one of the things discussed that day. He would never vote to take money out of our pockets and that government should be smaller.

I sent him an e-mail and reminded him of that conversation and told him he talked so big and brave, yet he was too much of a coward to stand up against a bunch of suits and ties and the education lobby. That I don’t think a man who is scared of a bunch of teachers is really the man for the job to fight the government with force if needed.
That was a weekend and all of our kids were here along with several other family members as well as friends. His big talk and what we thought was honesty earned him 15 to 20 votes.
I take it personally when a man looks in not only my eyes, but the eyes of my family and lies through his teeth. I don’t like being made the fool.
I don’t know what the answer is anymore, I’ve tried voting for the politician and the non-politician and they all end up lying politicians.

We, and people we personally know, must run for office. In my state a memo was found that was calling for democrats with no written/online political prescence to run for office as a republican, then vote as the democrat they really were. Since we mostly have jobs, and jobs that require actual work not naval gazing, this means it will require a group of people to help support the one who runs for office. This is what is starting here in NH. If I recall correctly you are in Montana? There must be enough people there to organize. Everyone laughed at Obama being a community organizer, but think what has been done against us with community oranizing. It is now our turn, and in general we are far more capable people. We just must act. I truly feel your frustration. I have a great deal of regret in my life because of continual bad health holding me back. Looking back at a life of missed opportunities sucks – don’t land up like me.

I’m in Oklahoma, the “reddest” state as many call it. I know some of these Republicans are former democrats because it became nearly impossible for a democrat to get elected at the state or national level. Some though are lifelong Republicans.
We have a grassroots group that is working on getting people to run against them, there just isn’t that much time to do so as you have to file by April 11th.

Once upon a time I knew the right questions to ask, but they’ve all gotten better at deception. I believe sometimes it’s because at that time they’re not deceiving you and something happens when they get around the other politicians.
Even people you know, because I’ve been down that road as well.
I don’t know what the answer is.

Sorry I confused the state, like I said i need a chart to keep track of everyone!

The grassroots group is the key I think, and contiuing to hold them to their promises by recalling them if necessary and then stopping whatever retirement money they would get. People you know deceiving you or becoming corrupted is the worst. I would seriously consider the grassroots group hiring a private investigator to investigate anyone before they back a candidate. It all takes a lot of time and continual effort.
Even without knowing what the answer is we must not give up trying. I find certain quotes to be helpful. Here are some that help me:
~All that is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.
~A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
              ~And these from Winston Churchill:
“Never give up on something that you can’t go a day without thinking about.”
“Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm”
“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
“Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

There are stillmore of us than them. We must continue in the fight.

Also, an overlooked until this week, but very important subject is the census. What Pres Trump is doing on this is vitally important, even though some people responding will lie. About 8 – 9 years ago I started looking at the details in the census dot gov info site before I chose a new place to live. During that time (the Obama admin) even the “actual” numbers were an estiimate. I do not believe they were before from what I could find on the website before his admin. Perhaps it was, and was just hidden better, but I could not find it was an estimate. The census info gives us numbers of Reps and Electoral College votes if I remember correctly. This is why Calif & Mass are suing to stop it – they will lose representation from illegals and legal non-citizens.

We have a total in the House and Senate 112 Republicans and 36 Democrats. Only 24 Republicans total voted against this bill. They acted just like D.C. while doing it, they had to pass it to find out what was in it. They knew taxpayers were against tax increases, we just voted down a sales tax increase last election cycle for teacher raises. So they went against the people and celebrated when they were able to do it.

I hope this works, it’s a picture of Mary Fallin celebrating. Oklahomans only have themselves to blame for this hag, I get people being fooled by her the first time, but the second time was all on them.

I forget who or how the wages for congress is decided. I think it was by the founding fathers if I remember right. I wonder how we can put a leash on them. I have proposed to people that at the state level a law be passed that any congresscritter:
                    1. Only be paid what the average working person in their state makes.
                    2. They must have the same insurance as what the average person has.
                    3. They get no retirement benefits from their time in congress.
                    4. Housing/meals/healthcare etc. equal to or at the closest miltary base is provided, free of charge for them while they are in session in D.C.
                    5. They are not allowed to profit from their time in congress, or use special knowledge attained during that time for 7 years after retirement.

Take away the financial incentive to be in congress. In NH we pay our state reps $1. per year, and they get a license plate so they can park at the state capital and not get ticketed.

Forget term limits – that will not solve the problem, it will just allow the DNC & RNC to rotate more friends thru the money machine of congressional benefits. We must take away their self paid cadillac insurance, retirement, and salary. They just voted themselves another raise in this omnibus!

I read an article on FB where one of the traitors said it was a small price for taxpayers to pay in order to take care of our teachers.
He was probably too busy having Mommy wipe his butt then, but someone needs to give him a history lesson. The reason Oklahoma has it where it takes a super majority to pass revenue bills and then it’s supposed to be for an emergency and revenue bills are to go to a vote of the people is because in the 90’s the last straw was a huge tax increase when they gave into teachers’ demands.
They’ve “woke” Oklahomans again and we’re ready to crash their party. People are pissed and they’re ready for war. I don’t think the teachers get it either, as they’re gloating and crying at the same time that it isn’t enough, they demand more at how sick the rest of us are getting. I’m seeing some who agreed they needed a raise and were on their side, but wanted it coming from cleaning up government and finding out where the casino money and lottery money has went. They are turning against teachers. People with half a brain get it, a 3 cent tax on gas and 6 cent tax on diesel will cost us a lot more than that looks like. They also realize what taxing oil and gas production more will cost us and not only the cost of goods and oil, but the lost jobs. Tobacco tax in the long run will mean less revenue as people will just drive to border states and buy tobacco, along with will cost jobs.

My husband said on his way home, he saw sign after sign calling out their representatives and hand made signs for Oklahoma Taxpayers Unite. Mary Fallin will live off her retirement and all the money I’m sure she’s made by being bought by the highest bidders, but her name is mud in Oklahoma now. If she still has goals of going to D.C. she won’t do it in this state, so if anyone sees her moving to your state remember her name.

You don’t do this to Oklahomans and then gloat and celebrate and say you’re having a “signing party.”

        From Stella’s post down thread;

        From Wikipedia:

The Cenacle (from Latin cēnāculum “dining room”, later spelt coenaculum and semantically drifting towards “upper room”), also known as the “Upper Room”, is a room in the David’s Tomb Compound in Jerusalem, traditionally held to be the site of the Last Supper.

The word is a derivative of the Latin word cēnō, which means “I dine”. The Gospel of Mark employs the Ancient Greek: ἀνάγαιον, anagaion, (Mark 14:15), whereas the Acts of the Apostles uses Ancient Greek: ὑπερῷον, hyperōion (Acts 1:13), both with the meaning “upper room”. The language in Acts suggests that the apostles used the Upper Room as a temporary residence (Ancient Greek: οὗ ἦσαν καταμένοντες, hou ēsan katamenontes), although the Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary disagrees, preferring to see the room as a place where they were “not lodged, but had for their place of rendezvous”.

Morning Everyone! Today’s painting by JF Kernan not only shows one of his beloved dogs, but a closeup of a pheasant – something not usual in most paintings. I like how the dog’s paws drape over, I can just imagine him thinking “Here it is – I’m a good boy – throw the ball now OK?”

BTW: Czar at http://covertocover.outdoorlife.com/covertocover/ They have every issue of OutdoorLife available online if you subscribe. Wasn’t that the magazine you liked? Funny, the shed hevhand built ion his back yard was built in the 30s from wooden crates that military 1898 Krag-Jorgensen rifles came in. Outside was painted white while you could still see the crate’s nomenclature on ther unpainted inside.

France Honors a Catholic Soldier Murdered by a Terrorist
by Marie Meaney March 29, 2018

“Lieutenant Colonel Arnaud Beltrame (44) has become famous overnight. His family could well have done without his fame, since it came at such a cost—the sacrifice of his own life. He offered himself as a hostage in exchange for a wife and mother who was held captive by the terrorist Radouane Lakdim. Lakdim had taken over a supermarket in Trèbes, close to Carcassonne in southern France, threatening to blow up the store along with many hostages. Beltrame, a member of the French military police called the “Gendarmerie,” began negotiations with the attacker, drawing his attention away from the other Gendarmes who evacuated people from the building. He then took the unusual step of offering himself in exchange for the remaining hostage……”

RIP Lieutenant Colonel Arnaud Beltrame. Peace to those he left behind.

The Corrosion of the British Spirit
by William Kilpatrick March 27, 2018

“If the British people successfully stood up to Hitler’s planned invasion of England, they have essentially bowed down before the Islamic invasion of the British Isles. What Hitler failed to accomplish with force of arms, Muslims migrants are accomplishing through migration. With the help of British authorities, they are gradually but inexorably imposing an alien moral code on the UK.” …
“In Mayor Sadiq Khan’s first year in office, homicides in London rose by 27 percent, youth homicide jumped 70 percent, rape increased by 18 percent to 7,600 reported cases, and child sex crimes soared by 30 percent to 1,200 per year. London also has the most acid attacks per capita of any other city in the world. When I was younger it was common to hear that London was one of the safest cities in the world—a place where women could walk alone at night, and police didn’t have to carry guns.” …

“What happened, of course, was Muslim migration buttressed by high Muslim birth rates.Still, there’s more to the story than the arrival of Muslims in Britain”. …
“In 1948, George Orwell wrote the classic dystopian novel, 1984. It’s a mistake to think of the book as simply a prediction of bad things to come, because Orwell meant it to be a commentary on bad things that were already happening. …Orwell also saw something in the England of his day that disturbed him. Partly because of the centralization and bureaucratization required by the war effort, Britain was already on the path to socialism. Orwell favored democratic socialism, but also realized that socialism had ominous potentials. After all, the totalitarian political party he describes in 1984 is called Ingsoc—short for “English Socialism.”

Modern England’s governing institutions are not nearly as brutal as Ingsoc, but they do share some of its characteristics—particularly the desire to control information. For example, the Telford police didn’t refer to the rape gang members as Pakistanis or Muslims, but simply as “Asians.”…

“There is another similarity between the Britain of today and the Ingsoc of 1984. Totalitarian societies specialize in humiliations both small and large. The humiliations are designed to demoralize citizens and break their will to resist. This seems to be happening now in Britain. Rape is an act of subjugation and humiliation and, if nothing is done about it, the humiliation turns into a corrosive demoralization. If it happens on a mass scale—as in Britain today—and if the authorities become complicit, then the whole society is demoralized. If on top of that, those who complain about the outrages are silenced and even jailed, the humiliation is complete.”

Christianity has been Europe’s strongest bulwark against Islamization. That heritage has been squandered to the point where it is almost lost. But a revival of Christianity should not be discounted. Even atheists are beginning to recognize the vital role that Christianity plays. At a recent appearance in England, Richard Dawkins warned against celebrating the demise of Christianity “in so far as Christianity might be a bulwark against something worse.” Christian civilization was already in decline at the time of Churchill’s speech, but he recognized that it was key to revitalizing the British spirit. Britons today would do well to go back to his speeches. Here’s a sample:
The battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own British life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire…Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will say, “This was their finest hour.”

How about the United States? Americans may think that all of this has nothing to do with them. But what is happening is Britain is happening here also: the suppression of news, the accusations of “hate crimes,” the cover-ups, and the shackling of free speech in the name of sensitivity and political correctness. If today’s battle of Britain is lost, and along with it the battle for France, and Germany, and the rest of the Continent, America will be very much alone. And its erratic resistance to Islamization will seem all the more futile. Churchill spoke of America in his 1940 speech, and what he said then still applies today:
But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.

I think God is with some of us, with our country now as a whole? I’m not so sure about that anymore.

I know some kids whose parents moved them to a Christian school. They did it because their kids kept telling them how hard it was in school to have to fight daily just to pray. Teachers frowning at them for asking God to bless their food, over hearing teachers talk about the holy rollers meeting up at the flagpole.

Sorry, I don’t think God is welcome in public schools anymore.
The best thing that could ever happen to this country imho is the destruction of public schools.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.

Busy day that ended at the bank. My two nephews who are in their forties were totally in love with the safe deposit unit and it was a joy to watch their faces as the history sank in….there is an old land map that hangs on the wall and you’d have thought my nephews had discovered the Holy Grail….it is so fun to watch the next generations as they discover history in places they don’t expect.

The inspection was completed this morning, true story, God walks with me…the doorbell rings, the inspector is the inspector that inspected the home for my husband and I when we bought the house six years ago….he saw and knew the work that had been done to the house & property…..The worst offense my house committed….one of the windows wouldn’t open and children couldn’t escape…yeah, the people buying the house are in their 60’s…don’t think I’m real upset. :0)
