    My friends from Tennessee have made it home safely and ahead of freezing drizzle in Arkansas. Sue asked me to tell all of you how very much your thoughts and prayers mean to them, so thank you all from them, as well.

    OK, so I’m not sleeping well, … and imgur is back!
    I have 2 for today since none yesterday. They are for Col.Ken, and others who like cowboys (I like cowboys!)
    The first is a Charles Marion Russell Greeting card. I enlarged it to show the detail of what he’s holding, 🙂 even though it decreased the picture quality.
    The poem goes:
    Best wishes for your Christmas
    Is all you get from me,
    ‘Cause I ain’t no Santa Claus –
    Don’t own no Christmas tree.
    But if wishes was health and money,
    I’d fill your buck-skin poke,
    Your doctor would go hungry
    An’ you never would be broke.

    The second is Cowboy Christmas Eve by Jack Sorenson

    Born in 1954, Jack Sorenson grew up living the Old West lifestyle that he now depicts in his work. Coming of age living and working at Six Gun City, a dude ranch and frontier town in the style of the Old West on the rim of the Palo Duro Canyon and owned by his father, Sorenson was deeply embedded with a love for the stories and imagery that characterized the Old West, and which continues to motivate him to this day. Whereas other teenagers spent their adolescence working in retail or fast food, Sorenson worked as a stagecoach driver, a performance gunfighter, and a horse trainer. A naturally gifted artist since childhood, Sorenson began painting full-time in 1974. After his first one-man show sold out that same year, Sorenson committed himself to a career in art and never looked back. ~ That sounds like a dream childhood, heck – a dream life to me!!

    The article is full of sadness, but you know what, I’m glad we’re not fixing Iraq’s problems. Let them foot the bill to rebuild. There’s enough stuff in the US that needs to be rebuilt.Arguably, this situation in the Middle East is Obama’s fault; he did tell the whole world when the US was pulling out. But that also begs the question of what exactly Iraq expected to happen when the US left. Why were they not getting ready to be their own independent country?

    The Iranian Guard and the Special Police have not attacked the crowd. An Iranian Guard stepped in and stopped his fellow comrades from getting physical with the crowds.

    What has changed since 2009?
