Judicial Watch was informed yesterday by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that the FBI has located 30 pages of documents related to the June 27, 2016, tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, and proposes non-exempt material be produced no later than November 30, 2017.

“…did not locate any records…”. Back to my parsing exercise again: depends upon what is is. Why couldn’t they locate them? Not that such a thing would ever happen on my watch but when inspectors came by to check our readiness it wasn’t unusual to have supplies and equipment over what our lvels were supposed to be but inspectors never found any.
Question really is ‘why no records were found’ then but appeared now. As a retired bureaucrat I have a bucket full of ways to answer the request for records and obfuscate the person asking. Now if someone asked if those records were available and, if not, why not and I were under oath things might be different. Then again, no one asks those questions under oath in a court setting.

The FBI originally informed Judicial Watch they did not locate any records related to the tarmac meeting. However, in a related case, the Justice Department located emails in which Justice Department officials communicated with the FBI and wrote that they had communicated with the FBI. As a result, by letter dated August 10, 2017, from the FBI stated, “Upon further review, we subsequently determined potentially responsive documents may exist. As a result, your [FOIA] request has been reopened…”

Readily recognizable burospeek for; “we’re afraid someone noticed we didn’t wear clean undies…”. I believe the Trump appointees were getting closer and closer to the truth and those documents popped out of previously blank space like a watermelon seed.
