Our First Lady, Melania Trump delivered remarks Wednesday during a luncheon at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York. She called upon the leaders of the world to do what they can to improve the lives of our children.
In prepared remarks, the First Lady said that children are often “hit first and hardest in any country” when it comes to drug addiction, bullying, poverty, disease, trafficking illiteracy and hunger.
She says, “We need to step up, come together, and ensure that our children’s future is bright.”

across the hall I never HEARD such complaints about FLOTUS clothing choices….for me….she can wear a burlap sack with more panache and grace than anyone commenting on her to the contrary…..shallow shallow shallow….IMO….thought I had logged onto HuffPo by mistake…..

I agree, joshua. Although this isn’t my favorite look, she is always lovely.

By all accounts Melania is a private woman. I don’t recall hearing anything about her before Donald Trump became “Candidate Trump”. People bellyaching about her clothing can suck an egg.
Her message was spot on, she is giving a speech in what is not her native language. That in itself is amazing. Americans put public speaking as their number one fear.
Her outfit is not to my liking but so what? She still looks stunning and more important her words are true.

Close, I’m scared of meeting the ghost of a strange zombie clown in a tight, dark space. That’s why I try to limit my trips to Walmart.

Why would the UN actually DO something for children? Those pix of 4th world children suffering from kwashiorkor have driven generations of gullible children to forego candy at Halloween and trick or treat for UNICEF. The UN plutocrats find ways to pocket the kiddie’s pennies and the suffering goes on…and on…and on…
The reports on UN members and their families profiteering from UN contracts (known here as a clintonocracy) are legend and continue to go on…and on…and on… Raze it to the ground, salt the earth and leave the job of tending go the children to NGOs and religious organizations thst CAN be trusted.
