    SUMMER CAN’T BE OVER!

    Dusty Springfield “Summer is Over”

The night runs away with the day
The grass that was green is now hay
The world goes around without even a sound
And it looks like the summer is over
The rains tumble down in the sky
Young swallows have learned how to fly
The leaves that were green are no longer so green
And it looks like the summer is over
The sun and the moon take turns in the sky
The days drift on by too soon
The meadows are kissed by a cool autumn mist
    Far away now is June
The birds fly away to the sun
The leaves touch the ground one by one
The breeze hurries by without even goodbye
And it looks like the summer is over
The sun and the moon take turns in the sky
The days drift on by too soon
The meadows are kissed by a cool autumn mist
    Far away now is June
The birds fly away to the sun
The leaves touch the ground one by one
The breeze hurries by without even goodbye
And it looks like the summer is over
And it looks like the summer is over

  6. Morning everyone! Light crowd today. Hope everyone has an enjoyable Labor Day.

Stella…. nice picture up top. It is a little sad that summer is coming to a close, but fall is always fun. 🍂🍁🌻🌾🎃

If you ever get to walk along a frozen beach, it is really interesting to see the waves frozen on the sand. I walked along a Cape Cod beach one winter. It looked similar to this, but the frozen edges were more airy, or bubbly. I wish I had my camera! I like your pic better tho Stella. It was COLD!

That’s the Palisades nuke plant at :057. We used to be able to swim in the winter, near the outlets, because it was hot-tub-warm. After 9/11, you can’t do that any more.

I was here in 2015, and never knew the lake froze that hard, that year.

I plan to get out more this winter. I know the guy who made this video. Cool dude.

I know people who’ve walked three miles out onto the ice, to the end, and back.

I did it once, about a mile out. In late March, when I was 15. Never again.

Sound is less than desirable, but yeah, this is what ice on the lake can do, it’s amazing to witness up close. And also what cray-cray videographers can do. Doing this is very, very risky, because you can literally fall into an ice-cave and you’ll never be seen again. Especially if your phone uses the Sprint network.

I really can’t fathom why I haven’t met this guy. Don’t hang in his circles, I guess.

His commentary is pretty funny, and typical of South Haven oddballs. We have a few.
