    Don’t know how many of you’ve seen it but this is the 2015 report by the VA IG that shows as many as 307,000 vets may have died out of the nearly 867,000 vets awaiting treatment over the period of time examined. Primary reason (best way they could save their ass) is thst their record keeping/maintaining system sucks. So we have a perfectly diverse and inclusive system headed by civil service SES grades (all of whom are getting hefty yearly performance bonuses) and you’re killing your clients.
    Question I have with the IG’s report is WHY they didn’t do it earlier, why wait until dead vets are in the news and Congress is al atwitter? The IG is disposed to be on top of this, proactive and not reactive.

        Not forgetting the 100 who died while waiting at the LA center. See what I mean when I say the VA has killed more than the VC? VA, 307,000 – VC, 58,220.

      ALL bonuses in civil service need to be STOPPED, period.

        Tell me about it. The workerbees’ bonuses are figured into their agencies’ budgets a year in advance. Right now the 2018 production bonuses are being built in a year ahead of any work being done. For the SES grades their huge production bonuses are part of their pay, they know they’re on the kids if the don’t get one.

          Oh yeah, I forgot about those years when the budgets were being pared back and our agency supervisors only had enough bonus cash to pay themselves bonuses for supervising us while we did all that really great work.

    This was made in 2001.

    The Japanese are artists, and even autists. It’s just an intro, after you hit “start” on your controller, to a videogame.

    Western videogame makers can’t evoke humanity like Japanese can.

    Same goes for animators. I’ve watched plenty of Western animation, from Hanna-Barbera up to and including our crown jewel, Disney. Studio Ghibli beats Disney hands-down. On every level.

    Music and art, the Japanese beat us. No question.

    I have the collection as of 5 years ago. Ghibli is incredible talent. So is Squaresoft and every other Japanese animation and game company.

      It’s about 4 or 5 hours away in Green Bay, I’ve only been to Green Bay once just to meet someone and pick up one of their children so I haven’t been there and don’t really know anything about it.

      The National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe is about an hour and a half away in Illinois I’ve been there and it is wonderful.

      There was a small convent within walking distance of my parent’s house in Lake Villa IL, Carmelite nuns, The HandMaidens of The Lord, sadly they all became too old and their Mother House recalled them after decades of being one of the holiest places that I have ever experienced.

      Are you asking for a particular reason?

      My friend lives right in Green Bay maybe I’ll make a trip up there one of these days. After refreshing my memory I remember her telling me about this. I think there is also an unapproved modern day visionary in the area though I’m not sure that she is associated with the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Hope.

    “What a noticeable difference that our new president sounds more like the president from the movie Independence Day.” There are videos of both speeches at this link. When I watched the movie yesterday, the speech by the President in it made me think of Pres. Trump’s speech.

    Just read that Calvin Coolidge was the only President to be born on July 4.

    Both Jefferson and Adams died on July 4, exactly 50 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

    Sharon!!!!!!! Reference to your questions concerning the F-35A (Air Force), B (Navy), and C (USMC). Briefly; The Air Force’s mission is primarily air supremacy first then conducting deep bombing missions. Also, you can roll CAS (close air support) to US Army forces engaged in the Corp Battle Zone. Naval Aviation primarily charged with Fleet Defense, Air Supremacy and Projection of Naval Air Power. USMC’s Aviation arm is charged with the mission to provide CAS to Marine ground units engaged with enemy forces.
    You raised outstanding questions in your post. Not to much difference between A model or B. The C model can execute Vertical take off, landing. This aircraft can operate from forward deployed areas with no runways.
    The fuel/weight ratios are critical in aircraft carrying various types of ordinances. Most AF/Navy aircraft will take off from runways, aircraft carriers with a quarter tank of gas, then linkup with a tanker to top off. Noted the engines on F-35 have increased fuel efficiency, okay my question would be at what altitude and load of the aircraft.
    This Helmet HUD (heads up display) coming on line. R/D had 1st generation back in late ’70s. Now think of the movie “FireFox” with Clint Eastwood. What R/D is really working on is an interface between your thoughts, and the aircraft executing those thoughts. Ex: Roll Right. You thought of that maneuver, then using the engine speed, stick, right pedal, you the pilot kicked the aircraft right. Now what was the time, 2-3 seconds…….. how about cutting that down to less than a second and still within acceptable G- forces on the airframe/pilot.
    My belief the boys/girls in D wing had a brain cramp, and for the sake of multiple aircraft for the services, I airframe, F-35, with multiple missions to save money. Sounds good, but toys cost a lot. Maybe might reduce the logistical cost needs also.
    Now, the Air Force hates the CAS mission. Look know further than the A-10 aircraft. This aircraft was built for the Soviet (Tank/Artillery) invasion of Western Europe late 70s. It’s cheap, easy to fly, cost effective to operate. There’s no glory in it……GUE, Go Ugly Early as those flyboys would say.
    My recommendation would be to build 400-500 more F-22s……..
    Hopefully I answer your questions, with background and discussing some of the article. Remember the biggest test is Combat. And I want the best for the boys/girls who wear the uniform, cause these is no second place in our business. My best you!!!!!

    Anthony Scaramucci just compared CNN to Captain Ahab. He said hubris, pride and ego has over taken CNN and it is no longer in touch with reality.

        CNN was running interference for the Clintons back in the 90’s I think they have always been a propaganda tool (hot babes aside 😉 but I’m happy you got a smooch).
