Looks like everyone is in on the action now. Greasing the wheels before the speech I guess. This from the NYT re: the ‘alt-right’ movement

Hillary Clinton to Paint Ominous Portrait of Donald Trump’s Links to ‘Alt-Right’

Hillary Clinton plans to deliver a major address on Thursday denouncing Donald J. Trump’s embrace of the “alt-right” political philosophy, presenting his choice as an especially ominous turn in a presidential election full of them.

The speech, at a community college in Reno, Nev., will come one week after Mr. Trump named Stephen K. Bannon, the executive chairman of Breitbart News, as his campaign chief. Mr. Bannon has eagerly described the site as “the platform for the alt-right” — a loosely defined and contested term often associated with white nationalist and anti-immigrant sentiment.

Accordingly, one of Mrs. Clinton’s challenges will be explaining the “alt-right” to a national audience that may have little familiarity with it. Her campaign has accused the ideology’s proponents of “embracing extremism and presenting a divisive and dystopian view of America.”

    FTA:

It is the kind of formal address that Mrs. Clinton has often pursued to communicate her general election message. She also set aside specific events to sternly criticize Mr. Trump’s plans for domestic and foreign policy, and took to the Old State Capitol in Springfield, Ill., last month — the site of Abraham Lincoln’s “house divided” speech — to appeal to the country’s better angels.

Major address…. wow? The Beast’s major address is about a political scare tactic to smear her opponent. Trump’s major address is about his policy position. Contrasts!

In a statement, John D. Podesta, Mrs. Clinton’s campaign chairman, framed Mr. Trump’s candidacy as a critical point for the Republican Party.

“Republicans up and down the ticket are going to have to choose whether they want to be complicit in this lurch toward extremism,” he said, “or stand with the voters who can’t stomach it.”

See, anyone who is a part of this ‘new wing’ of the GOP is being branded an ‘alt-right’er. Everyone of you is part of the ‘alt-right’ just because you will not bow down to the GOPe faction of the Uniparty. We all embraced the title of Vulgarian when it was the Bill Kristols of the world…. mine as well embrace the ‘new’ label.

Translation; The alt-right will mean whatever we tell our minions it means, we at the NYT’s will know what it means after Hillary tells us what it means. Meanwhile alt-right and “maniacal racist extremist hateful anti-semite xenophobic foaming at the mouth bigot” can be considered interchangeable phrases.

Fits in with Hillary’s speech tonight –

Clinton ad ties Trump to KKK, white supremacists

    http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/clinton-ad-kkk-trump-227404

A new video released Thursday by Hillary Clinton’s campaign makes the case that Donald Trump is the candidate of racists, white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

“The reason a lot of Klan members like Donald Trump is because a lot of what he believes, we believe in,” says a robed man identified as the Imperial Wizard of the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan at the top of the video, followed by the images of a Confederate flag fluttering in the wind, Trump waving after a speech, and a man performing a Hitler salute at what appears to be a Trump rally.

The video’s release comes on the same day that Clinton is scheduled to deliver a speech on the so-called “alt-right” political movement that has formed much of Trump’s base from the beginning of his campaign. In the video, an unidentified voice labels the alt-right as “the sort of dressed-up-in-suits version of the neo-Nazi and white supremacist movements.”

The video specifically attacks newly-hired Donald Trump campaign CEO Steve Bannon over his previous job running Breitbart News, widely considered to be the most prominent alt-right media outlet. An unnamed member of a CNN panel attacks Bannon as “a campaign chair that ran a website that has become a field day for the alt-right, which is racist and all sorts of other ‘ists.’”

since this seems to have become the ‘hot’ topic I went back and found a pretty good article done by Breitbart’s Milo & Allum that kinda gives a “CliffsNotes” on the ‘alt-right’.

An Establishment Conservative’s Guide To The Alt-Right

A specter is haunting the dinner parties, fundraisers and think-tanks of the Establishment: the specter of the “alternative right.” Young, creative and eager to commit secular heresies, they have become public enemy number one to beltway conservatives — more hated, even, than Democrats or loopy progressives.

The alternative right, more commonly known as the alt-right, is an amorphous movement. Some — mostly Establishment types — insist it’s little more than a vehicle for the worst dregs of human society: anti-Semites, white supremacists, and other members of the Stormfront set. They’re wrong.

Very good summation by Milo and Allum. Thanks Ziiggii.

National Review attacked them as bitter members of the white working-class who worship “father-Führer” Donald Trump. Can there be a better endorsement than the pious, insulting histrionics of the NR?

The alt-right IMO has pulled back the curtain on the facade of establishment conservatism and found that political and MSM conservatives are attached genetically at the hip and pocketbook with liberal politicians and MSM. The alt-right takes the stand that because of this facade foisted on the public for decades, they (the A-R) have no obligation to treat the people who are continuing to try and deceive them with any respect.

The A-R illustrate the absurdity of believing the establishment right by mocking them and going to extremes to illustrate the absurdity of both the left and the right.

Milo and Allum’s joint statement (the only time in the article they chose to remind the reader that they were both of a similar stance) was when they said that neither of them identify with the alt-right 😂. That right there is part of the boundless fun of alt-right’s “trollish” behavior. I imagine Rick Wilson, all the fine folks at National Review and elsewhere literally exploding when they read that line. Well done boys.

Just got back from out county fair. The county GOP usually has a booth with campaign signs. I was hoping to pick up some new Trump/Pence signs. The lady in the booth seemed very uninformed. She said some guy was supposed to show up sometime in the next few days with some signs, but she did not know when. It is the first day of the fair, but I really do not want to spend the money to go everyday and hope he shows up! I will just buy some from Mr. Trump’s website.
I did stop at a couple of grocery stores while I was in town. The person in front of me started talking about what a mess Hillary is. I agreed and spoke my mind about how I feel. The cashier spoke up and said they were at friends last night and the lady of the house said she was leaning toward Hillary. The cashier’s nine year old son explained to her why Hillary was a terrible choisc and she should vote Trump. The lady behind me said her grade schooler came home and said all his classmates want Trump! It turned out to be a good morning.

All the Hillary sales team has to do is feed the dedicated pap to keep them on board and convince hundreds of thousands of parasites she isn’t going to ‘dip’ their hosts. If she can convince them The Donald will end their free ride shecwins. If she can keep them thinking he’ll declare an open season, either sex, no bag limit hunt well she gets a cushion. The message doesn’t have to be professional or from her heart ( there’s a freebie fer ya), just has to rattle their rice bowls.

There’s definitely a ‘gate’ on the crowd mic(s), but there is also something else that is being added; an artifact in the audio that doesn’t seem to be related to the event recording. And the space (the event room) sounds completely different between the two sound sources.

When Trump was getting his start in business, he was sued by the Justice Department for refusing to rent apartments to black and Latino tenants.

Their applications would be marked with a “C” – “C” for “colored” – and then rejected.

Three years later, the Justice Department took Trump back to court because he hadn’t changed.

The pattern continued through the decades.

This is a story told about Trump’s father, Fred, not Donald. Who knows if it is even true?

Hillary Clinton Is About To Embarass Herself On The Alt-Right

Not for the first time, Hillary Clinton is about to dive into a topic she doesn’t understand. In an attempt to frame Donald Trump as a dangerous extremist and panderer to racists, she is going to take on the alternative right.

The move is purely cynical of course. Breitbart is the only major news site that has illuminating coverage to the alt-right, exploring its effect on the 2016 election without simple-minded denunciation or endorsement. Following the appointment of our then-executive chairman Stephen K. Bannon as Trump’s campaign CEO, she wants to tie the Republican nominee to a movement that has been disingenuously smeared as nothing but white supremacists. Coming from a media and political class that regularly cheerleads for the appallingly racist, cop-killer cheering Black Lives Matter, the claim is rich.

Message from Milo (banned on Twitter) about those headlines Hillary read (they were his):

“Hillary Clinton today used every tactic in the playbook of the identity-obsessed progressive Left: smears, name-calling and finger-wagging.
This is precisely what the alt-right is responding to. They post offensive memes because they know it’ll wind up boring, grouchy grannies like Hillary. The speech codes and political correctness of the Left are what has given rise to this vibrant new movement, what has given rise to Donald Trump’s extraordinary popularity, and what gives rise to me — and my fabulous headlines!
They were, by the way: “Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive And Crazy” (sorry, no offense, but it’s true!) and “Would You Rather Your Child Had Feminism Or Cancer?” (no prizes for guessing which readers chose). Little did I realise when I coined the #FeminismIsCancer hashtag that it would end up in the mouth of the Democratic nominee for President.
But there’s something else that Clinton represents. While she obsesses over the ironic memes of dissident youths on the internet, there are Black Lives Matter activists calling for the deaths of white police officers, and there are teaching assistants in American universities hosting courses on “how to stop white males.”
If there’s genuine, noxious and damaging racism in the United States, it isn’t coming from the alt-right, who are responding to it. Much of the alt-right’s rhetoric is designed to illuminate the absurdity of identitarian politics and the blatant hypocrisy and cruelty of the progressive Left. It’s working – and that’s why the Left is so scared.
Hillary is using the same old failed leftist tactics of name-calling, vague allegations and guilt-by-association, but hoping for a different result this time. In other words, she is complaining about a phenomenon she helped to create, thinking she can beat it with the bad habits and lazy smears that fostered it in the first place. Good luck with that!”
