The post office only allowed him to take one piece of mail at a time. Kasich Senior would deliver a piece of mail and then walk back to the post office to retrieve another piece of mail and then deliver it. The process repeated it self 24/7. Because of this heavy burden John only spent one day of his childhood with his father.

Interesting timing, I’m wondering if this attack was moved up as the cell was worried that those captured by the Belgian police would talk and spoil their plans? Can’t help but wonder if this attack was a spur of the moment and what the target was supposed to be.

Yeah, timing is all too suspicious. They did the attack and are dispersing to alternate sites to regroup. Too much planning to waste and a message had to be sent.

Just letting all know that they are a serious cell, though I imagine the two breathing jihadis who apparently didn’t don the suicide togs may not get a thumbs-up performance appraisal. They wanted us to onow they’re running this game and we are in a reactive mode, it’s a game of fox and hounds.

Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders spoke to the Brussels Forum on Sunday morning and detailed the successful efforts to arrest Salah Abdeslam, believed to be one of the main plotters of the Paris attacks in November. He was captured in the Brussels neighborhood of Molenbeek.
Abdeslam told Belgian authorities while in custody that “he was ready to restart something from Brussels,” Reynders said. Belgian intelligence determined that Abdeslam had built a new network of support in Brussels in the four months since the Paris attacks, expanding to include criminal networks that worked with the terrorists to share apartments and leverage connections to procure weapons.

BTW, I’ve been carrying a ‘major trauma’ first aid kit in my truck for some time now. Also took refresher first aid to refresh military Combat Lifesaver training and have a piece of paper that helps CYA me if I ever have to render aid ( I don’t have a great deal of confidence in ‘good samaritan’ laws). It has two of the militay’s obe-handed tourniquets, some blood stopper bandages, trauma pads, stuff for immediate major trauma aid. Paranoid maybe but out here or in the city it will take a while for medical first responders to service everyone that needs help. Agian, in Katrina we relied on the few EMTs available, and I do mean few.

I have the image of the young man holding off his own artery and the man running alongside of him stemming off the artery of his other leg after the Boston Marathon bombing, imprinted in my minds eye. So many heroes among the chaos of barbarism.
Sadly your idea is a good one Czar and I am in Chicago often enough it is one that I should adopt myself.

If not for others then for you and yours. People forget that he numbers of first responders is generally based on ‘normal’ conditions and when a major disaster everyone from fire to emergency medicine to police are stretched way past the breaking point. You can’t rely on those taxpaid services we generally take for granted, best you’ll get is posturing pols proffering poffery, caringly explaining why you’re screwed. Been there, heard that.

Speaking of not trusting websites.
I paid my Chicago “red light camera” ticket online.
The next thing I know I hear a voice coming from my computer telling me that my computer is infected with a virus and I need to call a phone number. I completely shut my computer down called the actual Apple phone number and they confirmed that the voice over was a scam. I have never heard of this scam.

My word would not have been acceptable here so your word was fine. It was a female voice, everything is fine, I did a scan and an update on my computer. It would be nice if people put as much effort into making an honest living as they did into scamming other people out of their money.

I wish I could type the way this lady I know talks as it would make the story funnier.
She’s a Cajun lady who has lived in Oklahoma for about 20 years but she’s never quite lost her Cajun accent but has picked up an Okie accent to go along with it.
She had came up to buy some chicks and her car wouldn’t start when she got ready to leave. The starter had went out, so she called her husband and told him to go buy a starter and come up here and fix it. He came up with a trailer instead and said he was taking it home to fix it. He was trying to rig up this strap to hook to the car and to the hook on his trailer wench. Her daughter who is in her early twenties was talking on her cellphone.
She starts yelling at her husband that it ain’t gonna work. He tells her he knows what he’s doing and she tells him she can hear his marbles rattling around in his head about the same time the strap breaks. Then she yells at him loud enough for the entire county to hear, “Ya always gotta go and n….r rig everything, why can’t you just do things right and not be n….r riggin’. Damn fool men always n….r riggin and never listen to us when we tell ’em it ain’t gonna work!”
I’m already about to die from laughing so hard and then her daughter gets off the phone and says, “mother I was talking to someone about buying my horse and she heard you yelling that.”
She says, “so.”
Daughter says, “mother you yelled n….r and I know she heard you!”
She asks, “is she black?”
Daughter says, “I don’t think so, but that’s not the point, you can’t say that.”
She says, “well if she ain’t black, what’s the problem?”
I know it’s very un-PC, but it didn’t make it any less funny.

My dad said it my entire life growing up, when I got older I tried to always say Jerry-rigged but then I was told that was also racist.
My DH says field engineering and says he doesn’t think they can find a reason to call that racist.
This lady I believe is like me and was raised in a different era, she had her youngest daughter really late in life. I’m not exactly sure how old she is, but I do know her youngest daughter is 23 and she had her in her 50’s.
She says God has a sense of humor and her daughter is proof of that. 20 years since she had her last child and then out of the blue, just when they were getting ready to spend all their money on themselves out comes another one.
I just like hearing her talk, no matter what she’s saying it’s always entertaining for me. 🙂

Good morning. One more time evil ones have been successful in their mission to terrorize and kill innocents. If only Belgium would undergo a spine stiffening and, for once, speak truth about the evil that they face Europe, and that we all face throughout the World. God comfort the wounded and the loved ones of the innocent dead.
Enough. The best thing we can do as Americans is to speak the truth about the nature of the evil that threatens us all.
It is another busy political day. I am praying for the safety of our Presidential candidates and their families, and that Arizonans and Utahans who vote today will “see the light”!

Some dumb dodo was on FOX and FRIENDS this morning, I didn’t get his name, but supposedly he is in the gov. He said we don’t have enough muslims in this country to cause the kind of problem they have in Europe. 😕 And, he sees no reason to stop them from coming here. 😕

Well that knd of statement confirms he’s in the government, most likely in the DHS. In my humble estimation it only takes one Moslem to become a potential Moslem problem, and the POtuS working hard on geting those Moslem stats to rise.

Chattanooga was my home for years, and I live about 15 minutes away now. I vehemently disagree, and I believe that there are five memorials in Chattanooga that bear out how sensible my argument is. Sadly, we could name other towns and places and lives lost across our country.

There were scores of wounded victims, there were survivors protecting their dying friends, there were first responders picking up pieces of corpses, the dead were not even cold and Cruz’s first though was “How can I turn this into a political advantage for myself?”
That is a separate kind of evil.
I can not stand to look at his face or hear his voice in the same way I cannot stand to look at or hear Obama.

Cruz is an enemy of freedom. Cruz is using the actions of barbaric Muslims to malign Donald Trump and to promote himself.
I believe that Cruz using this savage attack to try to benefit himself is a despicable act that only a person with no moral compass would ever commit. I know it is impossible for a person to be without a soul, but not with out a conscience, our conscience can be beaten out of us by continually choosing darkness.
Cruz is a vile opportunistic spawn in legion with the power of darkness.

I have a FB friend that posted the video and called Cruz a lying snake who is using Obama-like tactics.
She is either nicer than me or has more patience than me because she keeps her Cruz friends who are rude and obnoxious.
Rude and obnoxious and bordering on stupid they were about the post. They called her a liar, told her she was going to pay for attacking a Christian, said she hated Christians, this was the final straw with her hate filled, lying posts constantly attacking a good Christian man they were unfriending her.
Then those who said Trump is the liar and the biggest lie he tells is that Cruz is a liar.
Then those who said Cruz didn’t attack and he didn’t blame Trump for the attacks, he just said Trump was wrong about NATO and the UN and pulling out or reducing funding would make us weaker and Brussels weaker and/or would cause more terror attacks.
Another lesson I’m learning lately, I always thought conservatives weren’t too fond of the UN, but it seems suddenly conservatives love the UN. I say that because they weren’t just defending NATO and funding 80% of NATO but they were also defending the UN.

So…..(Trump voice) I had a pollster of some sort call moi tonight. First time ever. Black chick asking about all kinds of things (just to make it fair and impartial) but zeroing in on Obama’s selection of Merrick Garland, Obama’s performance as president, Mitt Romney as a Republican spokesman, MY race, Trump’s total assholiness (according to the questionnaire) and assorted other amusing answers for her.
I’ll leave it at that – but let us say she thanked ME at the end for 1) telling her that Justice Scalia’s name was NOT pronounced Celia 2) telling her about Vice President Biden’s Law that a new justice cannot be selected until President Trump takes over 3) that Hillary Clinton had already killed people.
Main takeaway, my friends – TRUMP is who they fear. NO QUESTIONS AT ALL were asked about the mailman or the Canuck.

I saw this story earlier today. One of the Thiokol engineers who tried to get NASA to scrap the Challenger launch passed away at 89. Guilt-ridden almost up to the end. Such a heart breaking story. 😦
