    Hi, everybody! Hope you are all enjoying your Friday.

    It’s a bit quiet, politically, today (so far). There is a Donald Trump rally tonight in Salt Lake City, at 9:00 PM Eastern time, 7:00 PM Mountain time. We will have a Live Stream of that rally.

    As most of you probably know already, Eric Trump’s family was sent a threatening letter. According to CBS News:

    A source close to the investigation said the letter had a Massachusetts postmark and warned that if Donald Trump doesn’t withdraw from the race for the Republican presidential nomination — paraphrasing — harm will come to the kids.

    A source familiar with the matter said the envelope contained suspicious white powder that’s been sent to a lab for testing. The source said a preliminary field test indicated the substance didn’t appear to be hazardous.

    No injuries were reported.

    Since the CBS article helpfully provides his address in NYC, I will not link the story here.

    I will continue to pray for the safety of our Presidential candidates, and their families.

              It is sad and it it is a waste but there comes a time that you just have to say I can’t keep the oxygen mask on us both. I haven’t talked about it online much but I volunteer with at risk people. I had a young kid 22 her ion addict, alcoholic, felon, he was doing really well and then I saw him in a hoodie, his hair looking scruffy, and putting his job at risk.

              Now I’m a volunteer, and I’m a free agent,so I can do and say whatever I want to do and say.

              I didn’t yell, I don’t even remember the last time I have ever yelled at anyone, but I took him to the side and gave him his life options, I told him he looked like a complete F*ing idiot and that his daughter was going to call another man father and that it would be entirely his fault. I said a lot of things, he cried, F*k off, I said, your tears are because you are not willing to do the hard work that it takes to be productive and to be a dad. I told him no one is going to give up their oxygen mask for you, so make a choice but don’t you dare take your daughter or fiancee down with you. You do not have that right.

              We talked for over an hour. He may still throw his life way but that same night he sent me a picture of himself with his hair shaved and a smile on his face. We have talked since and he goes to his job every day, goes to meetings sticks to friends who are clean and sober, It’s about choices. He knows that. at some point the people who I refers to knew it was about choices and they perpetually chose wrong, there was at some point a twinge of guilt.

              I feel terrible for people who choose evil but a guy who holds a fake severed head of a man up in protest of the mans policies is an evil man.

              May God have mercy on all our souls.

                  Haha ha! I’m no angel trust me on that. I just believe in the goodness of people and I’m willing to pay it forward. I do have to say it is always fun to see tough guys eyes get as big as saucers when I use the F bomb because they literally never see it coming. This kid had a terrible life, when I met him he was out of prison, clean but thinking of using again. His living arrangement was he was living with his fiancé, her young daughter, his daughter’s mother, and his daughter’s maternal grandmother. The three women tended to get together and tear him down. I know, crazy sick situation.

                  Now he has saved enough that he and his fiancé have their own place. He sees his daughter regularly but his own mom won’t see him or her granddaughter which objectively is likely a good thing. Subjectively having your mom reject you is a terrible blow to the heart and soul.

      I haven’t been paying attention to this case but I just had a look and they have not even gotten to the punitive stage! $115 million is for “actual damages” the jury can award Hogan another $200 million if they are so inclined. Again I don’t know the legal particulars but I think Gawker is done. I saw a tweet where Gawker openly defied a judge’s order to quit showing the video and were even so dull as to call her out by name. Really idiotic Gawker.

      Never ever if it is humanly possible piss off a judge. Piss off a cop, piss off an attorney, they are bound by a judges gavel, but piss off a judge and it is game over.
