Arrived at my dismount point, infiltrated the crowd and moved into an evaluated position. The distance was about 150 yards, no wind. I lazed the area twice, everything was set! I was ready…… Hot coffee, egg mc muffin, and a couple of hash browns later (field rations) as the festivities began, I did not account for the morning due on my scope. I called No Joy, packed up and joined the ground element for a direct frontal attack. The crowd was too thick, no maneuver room. So we executed our backup plan, joined the crowd. There’s always next year!
      Enjoy your Early Spring!

Do not despair – Iowa is a pissant, and tomorrow is another day (think New Hampshire). What happened is that Trump received one fewer delegate that Cruz. Not such a big deal.

I was hoping last night would be the first of what would be many black eyes for the GOP.

I would have liked Trump to win every state between yesterday and the convention and have an untouchable mandate as the republican nominee. But now there is reality of Iowa.

I was very depressed by the caucus results but I set my want of an emotional victory aside and tried to look at it from different point of view.

Let’s look at the positives, I thought Trump’s gracious speech set the perfect tone for the journey ahead.

There are a lot of Americans who simply do not like the front dog, they hope for the undefeated football team to lose, they wait for the rich man to have to eat at McDonalds, they hope that the Hollywood couple who has been together forever breaks up, as if somehow someone else’s joy and successes being taken away from them will make their own misery more palatable.

They walk among us and there are many of them. And they vote.

I think because of Trump’s defeat last night and his conciliatory tone many of our more petulant citizens may be more inclined to vote for him and be less likely to begrudge him future victories.

Trump lost graciously. He congratulated the winner, thanked the people of Iowa for the honor of coming in second and he moved on. This in the long war is not a terrible thing.

    It is Iowa.

They have picked losers for the last four elections. Iowa in its contrarianism for the sake of being the upturned nose antagonist is on the fast lane to irrelevance.

I have been trying to find the direct quote from Monday night as I heard it on one of the MSM horse and pony shows but I can’t remember which one.

    Glenn Beck said this

Quote, Glenn, I’m just going to leave it at this. You know all the work we’re doing and all the service we’re doing and all the things we’re doing all around the world. Yes. Just leave it at this, he’s a very generous man. He’s a very generous man.

    Source: http://www.glennbeck.com/2016/01/28/how-could-a-serious-man-of-faith-endorse-trump/?utm_source=glennbeck&utm_medium=contentcopy_link

Beck either said it in a live interview or this clip from his show was played Monday night right before or during the caucuses.

So it seems that Beck is implying the only reason a serious man of faith would endorse Trump is because Trump will give them money.

Does anyone know how popular Beck is in Iowa? I think he is a manipulating nut job but he obviously has his minions.

I believe this sheep has just howled.

I have listened to bit’s and pieces of his show for months. I just can’t take the constant hammering. It’s like the rest of the world disappeared. They leap from one popular topic to the next while everything else slips past. I almost listened to todays free podcast, but I have better things to do.

I haven’t ever listened to it, I just found this clip while looking for Beck’s nasty comment about a “prominent evangelical” telling Beck that he was supporting Trump, because Trump is “generous”. Those 120 seconds of Beck were enough for me 👎

I started watching Beck when he started at fox, then I started listening to his radio show. I’m not a “fan” of anything in particular, but I can get obsessive about things before putting them down (golf, scotch, former European super models, etc.). Anyway, once I personally noticed he and his staff started reporting things that didn’t match actual events on the ground, it became difficult to listen without questioning every little thing they said. The history he reports is like half history. Sure, people hadn’t heard of this or that event, but either he doesn’t know there is more to the story, or he doesn’t care.
It’s no longer enjoyable to me. Same with Rush. I started by watching Rush’s TV show in the 90’s, then started listening to his radio show until about 2005. I just got burned out.

I only saw Beck on TV once and that was when I took a friend to donate blood. Maybe 6 years ago? I’m not sure.

Rush I listened to for years, now, not so much. I do think Rush says pithy things about Trump when I do listen to him which is less than once a week and for less than 15 minutes in the car.

Back during the recession (2009) I had my hours cut, so I was home at 5:00 when Beck’s show was on, and I really liked to watch it. He has gone off the deep end since then – just my opinion. Since I retired, I don’t listen much to talk radio.

When all the media reporting got strange with Ukraine and the Olympics, Beck and his new team of ex CIA reporters started pushing the whole “we’re back in the cold war with the Soviet Union”. I knew something was up. It’s not the same over there as 20-30 years ago. In fact most of their youth has been as corrupted as those in the West. They want to be the Kardashian’s or what ever pop icon they have there now, and money for nothing.

Anyway, it’s just snowballed from there. The South American runaway children that don’t exist and the reporting of Trump being the next communist dictator that will wash the world in blood. I’ll go study history myself and run my own business thank you.

Heads up. I just spotted this.

These three — Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan — have been notified by the FBI that they should prepare to testify under oath about their involvement in the handling of classified national security secrets on Hillary’s homebrew email system

Now, important, FBI can not make anyone “testify under oath”, Only a grand jury can do that.
