I wear skirts or dresses to church on Easter, and to weddings. That’s about it.

I wear them to Church, Weddings, Funerals and if I have to go to a dress up affair, which thank goodness is very rare.
I can honestly say that is one thing I don’t care to leave in the past is women expected to wear dresses.

Same here. Imagine this: Church on Sunday morning in 95 degree weather, no air conditioning, nylon underthings, a girdle, hose, a dress, and heels. Oh, yes, and gloves. 🙄 I threw away the girdle when I turned 18. My mom was horrified.

I still to this day wear a dress to Church. I tried once to wear pants on a Wednesday night and kept feeling like either my mother was going to appear and drag me out or God was going to strike me down with lightning.
In some ways we never entirely grow up. lol

I would make the same observation myself, but I’ve learned that age and class group from the USSR doesn’t tend to think that way, and the comment would cause unnecessary confusion and frustration. Then my weekend would just suck.

What I do understand, is that my coming home is treated as a very disturbing but necessary evil. I should just put cash in an envelope and slip it under the front door without knocking. Then I should go back to work until I have cash to slip under the door again.

Once, in a staff meeting with department heads and assistant managers, my store manager announced he had been transferred. When he told us who his replacement was going to possibly be, I said “Oh no. Not the –er.”
That weekend I had to help across town at the –er’s store. He came and said “Menagerie, what do the people in your store think of me?” Obviously someone snitched. So I looked him in the eye and said “We hate you Greg.”
I still don’t regret it. And I got promoted again soon after.

I had (and have) medical insurance anyway, but the last two years when I had income other than SS, I owed a little rather than getting a refund. It’s the best way to go.

I think an indictment comes from a grand jury headed by a DOJ prosecutor. But all that is needed to arrest is an affidavit of probable cause before a judge who issues a warrant for arrest. Just like the militia in Oregon. They were arrested upon probable cause without an indictment. The FBI does not have to got begging to the Obama DOJ if they choose not to. IMO

IMO we must back a fair trial for Hillary. She must be afforded all due process. The state will have to provide admissible evidence of her crimes. Every criminal charged with a crime deserves due process.

Howie, I don’t think many of us have given that a second thought. Though it is obvious that our legal and judicial systems are no longer functioning even remotely as intended, most of us still believe everyone should get a fair trial, without question.

It is in right click for most photos, but not all. I don’t use it on FB at all – doesn’t work.

Nice up there today? It was gorgeous, here. We ran around, helped the child pick up some new things for the new house, put ’em in our storage unit, raked leaves up for compost down at the greenhouse, just an all in all excellent day. 🙂
I have one bar that’s the pickup BED full of ice and beer! Yee-haw. 😉

It was warm but the wind was horrible. I spent a lot of time outside anyway. Spent about an hour with my daughter and grandbaby, he chased the goats, chickens and ducks. He tried to eat rocks and dirt(I’m positive he succeeded a few times). He had a ball and never got tired, can’t say the same for mom and nana.

I do NOT miss the West TX/OK wind – at.all. They get a mild breeze here, they go nuts and start looking for funnels. They don’t understand having the car sandblasted from wind. 🙄

I love watching them run away screaming when the wind knocks the kids on their butts and sends the gazebo into orbit. Mine was on a trampoline out back (years ago) and hollered at me to come see if “this” was a tornado. Yeah, it was…..
