     I loved the story as a little girl. I had a big book with all the old stories, with beautiful illustrations.

     Actually, it is a kind of creepy story – some say that it is true. As a child, I didn’t get the creepiness, I guess, but young children are often surprisingly literal and matter of fact.

       It is a cautionary tale, as many of the old classics are. “Creepiness” is a consequence.
