Momma just started what looks like a 40lb. roast for today. We’re trying something “new” this year. We have our fiesta on Christmas Eve. Had some fajitas and fixin’s last night. For anyone who has DISH network, turn your TV to either 349 for a roaring fireplace, or 187 for a fireplace, singin’, AND a dog and a cat. We’ve been rollin’ on the floor. 😆 😆

I ate too much and am so stuffed that even that doesn’t look appetizing.
I really need to quit going all out at Christmas, now I have to eat on this stuff through the weekend. I say it every year but if I’m livin’ I’ll still be doing a traditional baked ham and smoked ham, baked chicken and smoked turkey with all the fixins again, cause I always forget about last year. Just like I always forget, I really should wait an hour or so after the meal before I have that piece of pie.
Come Monday though that ham bone sure will make a good pot of beans and the second ham bone that will be put in the freezer sure will make a good pot of black eye peas come New Year’s Day.
Right now though, I feel like I can’t breathe and am regretting eating that slicee of pie.

Morning and Merry Christmas Nyet, the not so wee ones are sleeping until 9 then I unleash the dogs on them :D. We had our immediate family Christmas here last night, today we are headed back down to may folks house for the “big family” day 🙂
The not so wee ones were not so impressed with my Trump card displayed in front of Lady Justice 😀

Seen on teh FB this mornin’…..
A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile.
The wife said ” Where are you, you know we have lots to do.”
He said “You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?”
Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up…
“Yes, I do remember that shop.” she replied.
“Well I am in the gun shop next door to that.”

Heard today:
I took a pic of my SIL and my daughter this morning, still in their pj’s. I said to my SIL, “That’s a good pic of Jen (my DD); she thinks she looks bad this morning.” He replied, “She always takes a good picture – she’s beautiful.” Every woman should have her husband speak about her that way. She’s a lucky girl!

We have had a very lovely Christmas. Happy to be home and relaxing.
I drive down about an hour to my parents house at least once a month, it is all small towns and farmland between my house and theirs. I have noticed over the last year that more and more people are flying the American flag.
Well today there was a life size cardboard cutout of Donald Trump that someone has up in their front yard. It really made me smile, next time, if it is still there I will get a picture.
