Good morning everyone. It’s my second favorite day of the year, making cookies with the grandkids.

Happy rainy day to all of you. A good day to stay inside with cookies and coffee.

Sounds to me like 25 states will stop honoring Virginia’s as well. It used to be a great American state. Socialist bastages.

Try living next to IL. We have a joke here that if you have to pass through IL fill up the gas tank, drive straight through and don’t let your feet hit the soil.

I lived IN Illinois for nine years. My daughter and her family live in Illinois, so I visit there from time to time.

IL does not have a concealed carry reciprocity law with any other state. They were the last state to institute a CCL and that was only because they were threatened with being forced into being a Constitutional Carry state if they didn’t do something.

Lawfully if I bring my gun to IL while visiting relatives I cannot bring my gun from the car to their house.

Also their requirement to get a CCL is oppressive. I think the in class time is 12 hours but you also have to have range/training time. I can’t remember how much time but a friend of mine who is certified to teach CC classes including range time in WI and a few other states said that a CCL in IL would end up costing you about a thousand dollars.

I should add that range time in WI is hit the broad side of a barn at close range and it is not a separate part of the permit than the education part of the class it is simply part of the class. I think the mandatory hours for a class here is 4 hours, I’m not sure though.

Fun fact in WI the CWL are issued sequentially and numbered in the order that applications are received and approved. I don’t know how many they received on the first day but my friend sent his in that day and he is about # 5000, the first Conceal Carry Card went to the then Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen and his license number is “1”.

My daughter lives in Oak Park, which is the city that joined Chicago in the losing Supreme Court case.

I have friends and family in Chicago and in small IL towns and suburbs. There is a lot I love about Chicago but I’m well aware of the liberal beast that it is. One of my best friends grew up in Oak Park, he still lives there with his wife and children.

Hi to Mary, lovely, nyet, Colonel, Menagerie, WeeWeed and Tex (hope I didn’t miss anyone). Just got back from grocery shopping, and I’m bushed, not to mention much lighter in the pocketbook.

I can’t believe that there is no inflation, considering what I’m spending on groceries. No raise in Social Security for 2016 either. I am very grateful that I can afford to pay my bills, and not worry about buying luxuries for Christmas, but what about people who need to pinch every penny?

Told ya’z so. Impact of minimum wage hike affects prices of goods sold, and loses jobs. As I tell my nitwit libtard friends, most of these jobs are held by kids and part-timers. DUH! 🙄
