I don’t know how safe, but maybe people will talk more. Getting more visitors each day.

I’m having trouble posting pics – the one above should have had this Ramirez with it….

You have to use the html version from Photobucket. I haven’t upgraded yet.

Weed, for the time being I will have to fix images, unfortunately. I think it works if you use the “Copy Image Location” option.
I’ll upgrade soon, I promise!

No problem – I won’t post many! 😉

Speaking about jobs, I receive about 20 contacts a day from staffing agencies for IT work that I don’t do. One recently caught my attention as a little different. It seems that some employers are now hosting invitation only parties, where experienced and skilled English speaking IT workers that were, or are here on HB-1 visas, are being enticed to return to their respective home countries to work the same job remotely.
I think warehouse and delivery may be the only job openings soon here in the US.

Now this…
A sixth Syrian man with a similar bogus passport was arrested in Honduras on Friday.
Reuters mentioned the sixth man’s arrest at the end of the video.

Classical music in Seattle is what I listen to (the 24 hour classic jazz station was killed off years ago).

We have an FM station that is classical in the daytime and jazz at night.

Moldy Goldies for me, and talk radio. Have to go from am to fm to am….. pain in the butt. I need a remote.
Will be a moot point when I go back to work, though.

I just leave it on classical since I can tune it out while working. At least that is when I’m working in my place and not elsewhere.
These last couple of months has me almost giving up on talk radio.

Interesting article on the anti-isis hackers.

Another way to read it would be, “We have letters of marque so they’re the pirates, not us.”

I’m retired. Let someone younger, smarter, and more ambitious take care of it.

I have to deal with the silly things clients keep doing to themselves enough so that I don’t want to even touch my in-house projects when I have a chance.

Thanks for the link WeeWeed. I’m not a techie (if that isn’t obvious) just a keen observer of human behavior.

Just saying hello from the soon to be snow covered South East WI. This is my first post here, I saw Nye’s invitation so I jumped on his coattails 🙂

Welcome! Supposed to snow here tomorrow, but it will probably be just slush, if anything.

In 1916, at the end of February there was over three feet of snow in downtown Seattle. I have post cards of it somewhere. I’m thinking it will do it again since it’s been 100 years. Otherwise we just get an overnight dusting that’s gone in a couple of hours most years.

It is super cold here but I think that is more of a function of it being 53 in November and not being acclimated yet, when April comes around and it is 53 I will be ready to be in shorts and a tank top.

Supposed to be 30 degrees tonight – our first hard freeze.

Three feet is a lot. I’ve seen over two feet here on several occasions. Two winters ago it snowed steadily all winter; it was a record total snowfall for the season. And cold. That winter the Great Lakes froze over, which almost never happens.

Lake Michigan freezing was incredible.

I have one of those as well along with an 8-track player and record player. The world keeps trying to pull me kicking and streaming into the new tech world, but I keep resisting and keeping as many old ways as possible.
My grandbaby loves to watch the record go round and round and does his version of singing to mine and his PaPa’s old records. My daughter tries to get him to sing to other music, but he’ll only do it if a record is playing. My daughter says he’s going to be the only child around who not only knows what a record is but would rather listen to a record than itunes along with the only child who knows what a landline is and not only that but will know what a corded phone is and all he has to do is go to his PaPa’s shop and he can learn how to dial a rotary phone.

I have a rotary phone.in case emergency. I don’t keep it attached though. The ring would probably scare people.

In the shop there is a rotary phone that is hooked up along with a cordless phone. My husband likes the rotary phone because he can hear it regardless of what he’s doing, the cordless even turned up to it’s loudest setting is not as loud.
Plus it has one of those cords that will reach across the room. Those phones were made to be hand free as long as you have a shoulder.lol

I still have a couple of corded phones, but haven’t used them in a long time.

They’re good if the electric goes out, especially since there are only certain rooms in our house with you standing in a certain spot that we get cell service.
