  1. Stellars….

Switzerland (this would make a lovely watercolor)…

Colorado (how about a large oil painting of this view)…

Photo of K2 Mountain (aka Mount Godwin-Austen) Pakistan side…

May we all have easy mountains to climb today!

    1. Good mornin’, Lucille! I live in the Hill Country of TX. It is certainly not the “Mountain Country”. Beautiful, once again. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

    4. Here’s why glacier water is turquoise:

Rock Flour - Why Are Glacial Lakes Blue? • Travel Tales of Life

Glacier water and the ice itself appear bright blue because of how water absorbs and scatters light. When light enters dense, compacted ice, the water absorbs longer, warmer wavelengths (like reds and yellows) but transmits and scatters shorter blue wavelengths. [12]

The striking, bright turquoise color of glacially-fed lakes and rivers comes down to two main scientific phenomena: [1]

      • Dense Ice Transmission:Ā Unlike regular snow (which is filled with air bubbles that reflect all colors and make it look white), compressed glacial ice is incredibly dense. As light travels deep through this thick, airless ice, the red spectrum is absorbed, leaving only a glowing, deep blue color.Ā [1,Ā 2,Ā 3,Ā 4]

The town of around 20,000 people happens to be situated on the St. Lucie River and the Atlantic Ocean, which means visitors are privy to endless opportunities to soak up waterfront views and dive right in once the Florida heat gets to be too much.

  6. Mornin’ All. It did rain, mist, yesterday. And, it is about 65* this morning, but the temp is supposed to go back up. For now, it is nice.

I am soooo sick of all this leftist stuff. They just want to stir things up no matter what the situation. And, the TDS is just off the charts. Also, I actually talked to a person who is an anti-semite a few days ago. I let her talk because I really wanted to know what it is she believes. I can’t believe that a rational human being could attribute all the violent, vicious things that the Muslims actually do, to the Jews. I am somewhat baffled.

Well, hope you all can stay cool and enjoy the day.

  7. Good afternoon, Aus!

Hold on. Remember what the press is all about. It’s not the news.

No culture is perfect, because men are imperfect. But some cultures are more toxic than others, to the point of being destructive not only to the individual, but society as well.

You encountered the latter. You are not part of it, and you do not accept it. As tiring as it may be, resistance is essential.
