My new phone gets here by Monday. 13mp camera, vs. my current 8mp, with quick-focus. And it does like Lightning Camera by default, and takes several photos in very quick succession, and lets you choose the best one. I’m giddy.

    1. Yeah Adam Sh*t is pitching a fit. It is only going to alienate their far Left Loony base and the democrats are already doing a great job of alienating their moderate base.

I believe part of President Trump’s philosophy is give them as much rope as they want and let them play with it. Then @%Γ’’SnAp*˝ˆ@# !

    3. Lefties want so much to believe the Trump they created in their demented minds, but he isn’t that person at all. More and more people are and will continue to wake up to that reality and the alphabet media will continue their spiral to irrelevance. I say so long and farewell to the alphabets, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

    5. Good morning, Nyet. I’m sending this over for potluck…ENJOY!

CRUSTLESS SPINACH, ONION AND FETA QUICHE
Technically this is a crustless quiche, but the addition of flour makes for a delicious crusty bottom and sides.

Minutes to Prepare: 20; Minutes to Cook: 25; Number of Servings: 6

      Ingredients: 1 medium onion, diced
6 ounces Fresh Express Baby Spinach
      2 large eggs
1/2 cup egg beaters (liquid substitute)
      1/2 cup all purpose flour
      1/2 tsp baking powder
      pinch cayenne pepper
1 1/3 cups non fat milk
      1/2 cup feta cheese

Directions: Preheat oven to 400F. Lightly grease a 10-inch quiche/tart pan (or a pie plate)

In a medium frying pan, cook diced onion with a bit of vegetable oil (or cooking spray) over medium-high heat until translucent and tender. Add in fresh spinach and cook until just wilted. Set aside to cool for a few minutes

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, flour, and baking powder. Whisk in milk, then stir in spinach-onion mixture. Pour quiche base into prepared pan. Top with feta cheese.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until center is set and the outside edge is golden brown. Let set for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.

        1. One egg equals 1/4 cup egg substitute. You can almost always replace substitute with real eggs, but the reverse is not necessarily true.

Copied that from My Recipes. I’m with you on the real egg.

  10. Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, 61, commits suicide by hanging himself in French hotel while filming Parts Unknown for CNN

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/ushome/index.html

Anthony Bourdain has hanged himself in a hotel room in Strasbourg, France, while filming an episode of his hit CNN series Parts Unknown. The celebrity chef, 61, was found dead by his close friend, French chef and owner of New York City’s famed Le Bernardin restaurant Eric Ripert (left together), on Friday morning. ‘It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,’ CNN said in a statement. Bourdain was married twice, and leaves behind a daughter, 11-year-old Ariane.

Kate was involved with Hillary’s humanitarian/child-trafficking expedition in Haiti, BTW.

Bourdain was all into going to “exotic” locations, too. Lots of red flags with this guy.

      2. Suicide is a terrible thing. It is not always the result of risky or bad behavior. Indeed, many people, due to mental illness, cannot even make rational, let alone moral, choices.

That being said, I believe there are some people who simply refuse every opportunity for help and assistance and would rather be sick, depressed, addicted, or suicidal even.

I will try very hard to leave the judgement to God.

There have been times in my life when the burden I carried includes not only my own, but a crap ton of those I love or am trying to help. No, you cannot take away someone’s misery and bear it for them, but using motherhood as an example, there have been times when the bad things have threatened to overcome my family, times when, though the guys would mostly not realize or admit it, I held the family together, kept us from breaking apart and perhaps hating some of the others awhile, or who knows, forever.

I know at times others have borne that load for me. I will tell you that there were moments during those times when the burden, the loneliness, and the despair almost drove me into the ground. Never suicidal, but damned near dead of heartbreak and near hopelessness.

My point is this. No one usually knew. And casual acquaintances or even family could have condemned me for any number of weaknesses. They would have been right. And oh, so very wrong.

        1. None of us know the burdens of another, and I will not judge, nor speculate why this man took his life. I had a friend who took his life, and it was a complete shock to everyone.

        2. As I often do when moral or faith questions come up…to St. Augustine I go. It’s really comforting to read what conclusions his great mind came to on a variety of issues. And he did write lengthily on suicide, looking at most every aspect.

This is going to take me a while to read, but I know it will be well worth meditating upon: AUGUSTINE (354–430) from “The City of God” and from “On Free Choice of the Will”….

    3. Lots of boomers means lots of notable deaths on the rise. Eloquent letter and his medical background combined with its generally cool rational response does not surprise me in the least. Its not indifference, hes in acceptance.
He is in a good place to have the gift of getting this far in his personal grief.

    2. I really did, too. Such fun to see how we lived in the big and small cities of America during different eras.

    1. It sounds as if they are only shutting some, but not all, mosques in their country. I suspect they have good reasons. Wish our country would be a little more curious about what goes on in some mosques here.

    2. Thoughts? I hope it isn’t too little too late. 7 mosques is a good start and the article does say it is just the beginning.

I wish the United States would follow suit.

    4. β€œAsk a Muslim Anything”? Really?
June 7, 2018 By Frank Thiboutot

Last evening (Wednesday, June 6, 2018), I attended the forum, β€œAsk a Muslim Anything,” held at the public library in Berwick, Maine. There were approximately 30 people there, and most unquestionably swallowed the Muslim speaker’s assessment of Islam, its history and sharia law.

  18. lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
