Good grief! While this article is ostensibly about some crypto dude who got over $40M in “loans” from SPF-50, when you get into the article, you see that SPF-50 and his posse have spent over $300M themselves on Bahamian real estate. At least Bernie took his time when he was Ponzi-scheming!

Apparently, math’s is hard. Kansas U pondering getting rid of algebra for college matriculation. Y’all better hope they don’t get rid of geometry when you hire that guy to build your house.

I agree with them simply because maths are very hard for me. I passed algebra in HS with a D, then took General Math to finish the course requirements, although I might have made it through Geometry since it is mostly memorization of formulae. In college I had to take philosophy or math, and I chose the one with words.

I still can’t make sense of mixing numbers with alphabet letters and squiggles to solve problems.

Good afternoon, Texan! Eurocentric courses are OUT for the duration of Wokism. So unless someone figures out how the Egyptians built those pyramids, finding folks to build your house might be a tad difficult.

Afternoon all. It was 5* when I got up at 9:30. I put Loki’s sweater on her and we went out. We were only out about 5 min when she started walking funny and looked like her feet were hurting. So I got her back in quickly and warmed her little feet up. I guess I will have to put her booties on even to go out for a few minutes when it is this cold. It snowed last night and is supposed to start snowing again today, all day.

I am really looking forward to spending Christmas with my family this year. I have never been able to do that before. I would usually visit between Thanksgiving and Christmas and my DIL would come up with some Christmassy thing to do, like getting a Christmas tree, making cookies, etc. And, I appreciated that. And, this year I will definitely experience a white Christmas.

Hope you all can stay warm and dry this week.

Hello mom! It is so exciting that you will be with your family this Christmas. I will be visiting at my daughter’s home this year, for the first time since my younger grandson was born, 19 years ago! So Tucker and I will be traveling to Chicago some time this week. Enjoy the snow. I can do without it until Christmas Day.

PS: It is getting colder here, and Tucker is cuddling up next to me on the sofa.

I just checked the weather forecast for the week. It is supposed to have a high of -3* and a low of -26* on Wed. I don’t think Loki is going to like that.

Nice to know Tucker will be with you…he didn’t fare so well last time in boarding, did he?

He didn’t do well boarding. That time we were staying in a hotel and doing things where dogs wouldn’t be welcome. This time I will be at my daughter’s house, so it’s okay.

There was a place I took Loki to board when I traveled with my friend to the beach. She absolutely loved it. They had room like areas with walls instead of cages and when they went out, each one had a large area to run in and each area was fenced in so they could play with the other dogs but were not in danger of harm. Loki would jump out of the car when we got there if I opened the door and wasn’t watching. Also, she would run into the building. It was very expensive, though.

Tucker had a good time at the boarding place, but he was really sick the day after I brought him home. More than $400 in vet bills. They thought it was some kind of virus, but never figured it out.

Good afternoon, aus! Yes, booties for Miss Loki now through spring will probably be called for.

We’re at snow today, none tomorrow, and Friday begins a long siege through New Year’s. With vaulted ceilings in half the apartment, it stays cold. My hands are blocks of ice most of the time. C’est la vie!

Hi Lucille! Have you tried the gloves without finger tips? They are pretty good at keeping your hands warm, and you can still use your computer, phone etc.

Oh,my. I am sorry you stay cold. That can be so uncomfortable. My feet are cold right now, but it is because I have spent most of my life in warm climates and can’t stand to have anything on my feet which are now bare. LOL.

I’m just the opposite and won’t even take a few steps without clogs, slippers or shoes on. Don’t even remember the last time I walked anywhere barefooted except on beach sand.

I also have ridiculously high ceilings, but I solve my heat needs with a cat on my lap. If my fingers get cold I just push them under the cat…

Little Gee has never fully lost his traumatic memories of being a feral cat and wouldn’t sit on my lap after ten years of being together. Only recently did I coax him enough to jump in my lap when I was reading something on the computer. But then he wanted to get on the computer desk and inspect everything…LOL!
