Just happened to run across this on Saturday….

Eight out of fifty U.S. States are named after European royalty, seven of which were monarchs or consorts….

Georgia – King George II of Great Britain.

Louisiana – King Louis XIV of France.

Maryland – Queen Henrietta Maria of England.

New York – James, Duke of York. Later became King James II of England.

South Carolina – King Charles IX of France. Name retained by British colonists in honor of King Charles I of England and taken from Carolus, the Latin word for Charles…
    and
    North Carolina

Virginia – Queen Elizabeth I of England, in a reference to her epithet The Virgin Queen…
    and
    West Virginia

Mornin’ all. Our Favorite Sunday Columnist takes a look at the shenanigans in AZ. She’s not real optimistic that it can be be fixed without some big help. Think about it….A state that had an R Gov, AG, and who knows how many in the State Senate and House, and still is as crooked as it is. How are we ever going to get anywhere.

Mornin. ladies. It certainly is, Miss Stella. When the primary ambition of those purportedly in our party is to get invited to the kool kid parties, us workin’ stiffs don’t stand much of a chance. After talking through much of this with Mrs. T, our focus is pivoting to those areas where we do have some control. Local. County commissioners, school boards, and precinct work. We aren’t going to change a darn thing in AZ, or MI, or anywhere else except what’s right in front of us. Not giving up. Not quitting. Not going to stop donating direct to a candidate. No more $$$ through some PAC, and I don’t care who’s running the thing. Gonna cut back on watching the “news”, and opinion shows somewhat. No matter if we like them or not. They only sow discord. No solutions are ever offered. It’s not good for the mental health.

Nailed it, Texan! Been thinking the same thing this morning. Our eyes become more opened every day and we realize that our supposed side was successful in destroying the Tea Party and it just may be successful in doing the same to MAGA politically. But it cannot destroy WE THE MAGA PEOPLE if we don’t allow it.

For everyone who is still able to do it in this economy, yes, monetary political donations should go local or to folks we absolutely trust by thoroughly checking their backgrounds, making every effort to meet them in person and becoming directly involved in their campaigns. If we are able to go old-fashioned and walk precincts, too, that’d be terrific.

We’ll continue our prayers for God’s mercy on America and thanking Him for allowing us to be born or naturalized citizens in this land. A huge number of empires and nations have fallen in the past. And has God allowed us to maintain our great REPUBLIC for 246 years. May He bless the nation through us and our devotion to what is right, just, good and free to our final day.

Mornin’ All. It is 9:30 here and 24* with a pale gray sky. More snow is expected on Wednesday. No news other than that. All the election news is so dismal I avoid it on TV. Well, hope you enjoy your day even if it is cold out. I’m ready for breakfast.

Stella, I just watched a segment on Fox and Friends with Rachal interviewing a woman named Lila Rhodes about Montana voting against saving babies that were aborted but alive. She said the amount of money that was against it was about $400 million compared to $11 million for. And, she said the Democrats lied about what it would mean if it passed, that women and babies would not be able to get health care. I don’t know where to find the segment, but you might.

Treated myself and had half of a ribeye steak for dinner, cooked rare in the cast iron. Other half for tomorrow night. Made beet greens with garlic and balsamic and had some roast potatoes left from yesterday. So good.

This seems a rather accurate statement of the goings-on of late. I stole this from someone on FB –

“Rather than an expected victory, the 2022 election feels more like a stay of execution for America. We’ll get a clemency hearing in two years.”

Yes, and plans had better be instituted immediately to retain our House seats plus garnering a larger majority. Somehow we must make swamp RINO politicians pay for dissing and not monetarily supporting Republicans who are America First and anti-socialism in any form.

I’m proud to say Idaho doesn’t have Democrats in WDC. Granted we only have the usual 2 Senators (neither of whom are MAGA). And since our population was small at the last census, only 2 House members. One, Russ Fulcher, is a true conservative and reps the district where I live; the other being Mike Simpson, a semi-RINO.

In each of the state government’s 35 districts, we have 2 representatives and 1 senator…28 districts are fully represented by Republicans. Dems run 7 with 3 districts which have 1 elected Republican representative each.

Dems control our capital, Boise, since a lot of leftie folk have moved there and brought their stinkin’ philosophy/agenda with them.

So, over all there’s nothing for me to worry about living in Idaho…at the moment, always keeping in mind not to get complacent.

VIDEO MONTAGE: Dozens of Arizona Republican Voters Describe How Ballots Were Not Counted, Ballots Were Tossed in a Box, and People Were Not Allowed in to Vote (VIDEO)
By Jim Hoft – November 13, 2022 at 9:48 PM

On Tuesday morning, The Gateway Pundit reported that when polls opened in Maricopa County at 6 am on Election Day, voters were told that the tabulators were not working. This was happening across Maricopa County and resulted in long lines and voters being told to go to another location to vote.

Katie Hobbs is the current Secretary of State in charge of elections.
