A Closer Look At The Royal Family’s Treasures | Royal Jewels

WeeWeed, Ad Rem and I were just have a discussion about the Queen’s jewelry, and who would receive it now that she has died.

We know now that Camilla will be Queen Consort – Queen Elizabeth said that this was her wish in February of this year – and she will also be crowned at the coronation of King Charles III. Her crown will be one discussed in this video; the Crown of Queen Elizabeth (1937) containing the Koh-I-Noor diamond.

Katherine, now the Princess of Wales, already has some jewels that the Queen loaned/gifted to her, and jewels that belonged to the previous Princess of Wales, Lady Diana.

If you are interested in jewelry, you will want to watch this.

I kept watching the crown on the casket as it made it’s way to Westminster Hall….all the time wondering how it was fastened down. All those jiggles and bumps…..and you know that thing was heavy.

To think I’m happy as a lark with my rose quartz I carry in my pocket! I use my ex’s citrine (smokey topaz) as my pendulum. It’s seems to be very accurate when asked any question. Guess I’m kinda happy being a pauper. I can’t fathom how huge those gems were! Thanks Stella.

Stella, in regard to your original conversation regarding the brooch that Kate was wearing:

I came across a short clip from a British channel wherein the reporter noted that the brooch Kate was wearing was a gift from the Queen…..I’m just speculating, but I think the Queen may have gifted the brooch to Kate in 2008 when the Queen bestowed the title of “Dame” on Kate.

According to what I read, she originally loaned it to Kate to wear at the WWI memorial commemoration of the Passchendaele Battle, in 2007. Perhaps she made it a permanent gift later.

ADD: I think I posted a pic of Kate wearing the broach at that 2007 event.
