Good morning, Menagerie! We’ve got 12 days until autumn begins…the last days of summer 2022 but there’s still time to enjoy a lake or a beach or a river and not be completely bundled up. And, yes, enjoy some summer veggies while we’re at it.

Without sarcasm at all, I can say my grandchildren always speak more coherently than that. Even when busted for transgressions and under stress. Or in their case, due to sufficient experience, I might say especially when busted and under stress.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone like her. I’d be very ashamed to poke my head out of the hole, but she seems unfazed. Why can’t she just only read something a speech writer gives her? Most of her stuff isn’t from press conferences, it’s from places she should have been prepared to speak at.

Well, I guess it is afternoon. Very cool here but also very sunny. It was so cold yesterday I ordered house shoes. I wrote that to my DIL yesterday, and auto correct kept changing it to horseshoes. LOL It was so cold I had to put on socks under my sandals.
Navy football started last weekend. They lost. 😦 Anyway, there is a game today. I missed last weekend’s game. I guess that is what I will do today along with opening more boxes. I opened some yesterday, but didn’t get much put away. I will try again today.

The last time I thought about getting some was last winter in Florida. While I was trying to choose a pair, I looked down at my bare feet and realized I would never wear them. I am sure I will now.

I recommend fleece or sheepskin lined hardsoled ones – you can take out trash or walk Loki in them until it gets snowy and nasty. I prefer moccasins so the whole foot is covered.

This is what I ordered. It has a solid sole, but I doubt they will work too well out in the snow. But, I don’t tend to run outside very often anyway.

One of the reasons I ordered from Vionic is that the shoes have arches built in them and I need that.

Good morning, aus…since it’s still AM in Pacific and Mountain times!
Make sure you have a nice down full-length coat with hood. Otherwise absolutely nothing you brought from Florida will get you through a winter, not even the best wool coat. Thermal gloves, wool scarves, all-weather boots which are adequate for icy conditions, tights and heavy slacks–all necessities.

This is the coat I ordered. I think the model is probably 6′ tall. I am only 5’3″. That is why it comes all the way to my calves. LOL

Nice! Mine is a maxi with a detachable fur-trimmed hood. It is red! I paid less than $100 on clearance a few years ago. I also bought a red wool car coat from them. Love that one too.

Getting carried away at Lands End is soooo easy. When they had a coat sale about ten years ago, I already had a LE brown down coat from my years of visiting Canada. But in the $29.95!!! LE sale I bought a black and a mauve, both with hoods. I did discover when they arrived that the hoods were very snug and virtually unusable…thus the incredibly low price. Half my wardrobe is from Lands End.

I usually order from Woman Within. The clothes seem to fit me better. But, I decided to try Land’s End out. They had a 50% off deal which worked out very well. And, I do need some long underwear. I just often have a problem with way to large armholes.

Well, I got the down coat. It has a fur edged hood, is long down to the middle of my calves. I got it from where I order clothes from when they had an end of the winter sale. It was less than half price. I have a knit cap, gloves, one pair of thick long pants, a scarf, and a few other things. I am sure I will need more, but I will survive for a while.

On my 2nd pair of these Spenco slippers. They’re light and quiet; you can step outside and – best of all – they have the orthotic support my older feet demand. They stay on your feet wonderfully…I usually wear thin socks with them.
Working from home as I do, they get a lot of use and last remarkably well.

I couldn’t make this work, but I got on another Spence site and realized I have some regular sandals. The Vionic sole fits me better. But, those are good.

Last year I bought some from My Pillow, with hard s9les and fur inside. Nice. Only wear them for about 3 months.

They aim to get rid of us, one way or another…you’ll note, however, that they have done NOTHING so far about the Lincoln Project guy who called for President Trump’s elimination. They are hoping for big physical reactions from us so they can put us in the slammer forever. I just hope everyone recognizes that anyone calling for violence or physical pushback is likely an FBI plant and should be utterly rejected. The swamp wants another J6 so bad you can almost see them salivating in anticipation of a whole bunch of Ashli Babbitts.
