Love it! Love it! Love it! Thanks, Stella, I saw a snippet of this yesterday on Fox and Friends and looked and looked for it, but never found it. Great!

This guy is starting to come across as another Cruz (RINO). I have doubts if he can handle the extreme Left. If it comes down to he or Trump in 2024, my vote goes with Trump, hands down! I saw what Trump can do as POTUS! I live in Pa though, and not Florida. Big difference between a Gov. and POTUS. Trump fights back 10 times harder than what he received. This just might work against DeSantis for 2028. Why is he going against Trump in 2024? Where was he when Trump got raided? Silent for 5 days. That was his state where the raid happened! Did he have a heads up? This is looking like career pol’s attempt at muddying the water for 2024.Time WILL TELL!

  3. It’s a nice ad…..but I am sort of left wondering what the point is, what’s the real takeaway? Fight lefty BS? Well yeah of course, and he’s demonstrated a good ability in that regard, but that seems to be the only message here?

He is running for Pres in 2024, against Trump. It is a splitter strategy from the UniParty. Remember, half of the Rs (or more) would rather not have Trump the winner in 2024.

As of this minute, I like him a lot. I am not sold on the idea that he is establishment GOP, based on his performance. Not much he’s done in Florida seems to fit with that narrative at all. He stood against the Covid freak out and kept Florida running. Schools open. Common sense ruled. He stood against overwhelming governmental and societal pressures.

The misunderstood and deliberately mis-represented “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Firing the state prosecutor. Just to name a few.

We have, almost every conservative to a man, celebrated and approved of those courageous choices he’s made as governor of Florida, and he took a lot of crap for it. None of those choices were the “establishment “ choice.

Now, because he is the only competition President Trump might have, many have lined up to condemn him. I find that suspect, and I find it unworthy. And insulting to President Trump, who sure as hell never backed down from a fight. If he runs, he’ll take DeSantis on like he does every competitor. He loves competition, and I suspect he respects a worthy competitor. That’s the very nature of a strong man.

Common sense and good reason have taught us to judge a man by his actions, and not his words. I find that test applied to Governor DeSantis leaves me confident, at this time, based on current information and no other speculative ideas, that he would be a candidate I could support.

According to my value system, it’s just plain wrong to trash him because he’s a threat to President Trump. At this time it appears we may have two good choices on our side. That’s a good thing, in my opinion.

If more information comes to light, I’ll re-evaluate.

And another thing. I love President Trump. Probably will be voting for him. But he made some massive mistakes, and a lot of them. I could do without the bleach job and blinders so many people have. He’s a tough guy, and maybe he needs to take his lumps from his supporters to adjust course. One of those faults I think he has is an apparent refusal to examine his own failures.

And make no mistake about it, if he were to win another term and make those same mistakes again, we would lose everything.

Frankly, the attempted takedown of Governor DeSantis is a tactic more worthy of the other side. Fight a good battle. But don’t attempt to preemptively trash a good man because his performance is a threat to your guy.

I agree with all that. I can honestly say I don’t think he wants to compete against Trump. I think if Trump does run DeSantis will not. But, whatever, I agree that all the steps he has taken have been good ones.

You may be right aus. DeSantis is right now in a good place, competitively and politically. He needs to make moves that will possibly support a later candidacy if he doesn’t run this time, or if he’s defeated by President Trump. 2028 is a long time, and he can’t bank on his success now being worth any attention and support then. He will have to make good choices between now and then if he wants to run.

I do not begrudge him entering the ring now for the future benefits.

With everything going on, this is Trumps election to win. Ron should defer to “The Don” before making that decision. I believe his ads are in multi states which tends to make me believe it’s for POTUS and not Governor. I will say though, A Trump/DeSantis ticket would be very very difficult to beat! IMHO

I suppose you could say that it is a national ad because it was run on nationally broadcast programs. Of course Floridians watch those programs too, so I think it is thin evidence that DeSantis will run against Trump. We will see for ourselves in November, and I personally would vote for either man as things stand now. I sure as heck wouldn’t vote for Biden or ANY Democrat!

I tend to agree, Menagerie, with everything you said here. I would need much more ‘evidence’ than has been presented to turn against DeSantis. His actions have been good, so far as I have observed. The fact is that every politician needs money to run a campaign, whether state or federal, and accepting financial help from his own party seems acceptable to me. If he starts to change then I will reevaluate.

PARENTS REVOLUTION: Conservatives Sweep School Board Races Across Florida

This…………is what happened in FL today. Multiple school boards flipped. No one person can take credit, but I believe DeSantis shined a bit of light out there. The drumbeats are getting louder. One race at a time. This is how you build a movement. First, the school board , then on to city council to the county, to the statehouse, and maybe beyond.
