    Mornin’ All. Another cool morning. Love it. Still unpacking and starting to see some improvement in the general chaos. I could straighten up my living room if I could get rid of my old Dunckin Phyff style couch. My DIL put it on Craig’s List, or something, and usually within minutes gets a reply, but nothing. So, we kept dropping the price and now it is free. I think my son is going to have to take it to the dump. I just want it out of here. My living room area is too small. Anyway, Loki seems to be enjoying it here. Well, have a nice day, everybody.

      There’s bound to be someone who can use it. Residents in my apartment complex just put items out on the grass at our front entrance. Hang a “FREE” sign and it’s gone within minutes.

        We are allowed to put out bulk items for regular trash collection. The things that people want always disappear.

          When I lived in Los Angeles our house was at the end of a cul-de-sac and so we had a lot of curb and front yard space. Trash was picked up on Wednesdays. The week prior to my move out of California in 2008, I got permission from the city to place extra items at the curb. My family and I lived in that house for 28 years and I had a humongous amount of final trash even though I’d been putting regular loads in my bin plus the neighbors’ bins for several months.

          As soon as I put furniture and mattresses at the curb on Wednesdays, folks would drive down in a truck and pick everything up. They even took some old 2×4 and 2×2 wood beams, broken personal shopping carts, and my non-functioning dryer. When the city trash truck came by I hardly had anything left for the men to pick up. LOL!

        That happened to me when I moved. My son put out a piece of furniture and a microwave that still worked and it was gone in 15 min. and the furniture was gone the next morning.

      I love Duncan Phyfe furniture! Up here we have a non-profit that takes building supplies, furniture and decor, & donates it for free to veterans homes in need. Maybe there is a church or non-profit that could use it. Refurbished Duncan Phyfe (even reproduction) goes for decent money. I would love to have all DP furniture. Too bad we’re so far apart!
      It just makes my blood pressure go up to see good wood furniture junked, when most new furniture today is junk. Glad you are happy in your new home 🙂

      Put it out front with a sign selling it for $5-$10. Someone will take it overnight. If you just leave it out there, people will think you’re getting rid of junk. 😉

    President Trump will hold his Save America rally in Prescott, AZ tomorrow evening. Let’s see how many folks show up as opposed to how many Snake Pence gets with the candidates he’s supporting in AZ. Pence could easily have stayed out of it, but the folks he’s now beholden to probably urged him on. Seldom in my entire life have I been more disappointed in another human being.
