“How James Earl Jones Became the Voice of Darth Vader”
Watching this vid recently reminded me of the first screening I attended of the original STAR WARS. Afterwards a group of film industry folk discussed the film, the screenplay, the acting, etc, and I piped up saying I was sure that James Earl Jones was the voice of Darth Vader. Friends laughed and responded that couldn’t be possible. He was a rising star and would never take a voiceover job without even getting screen credit. But I knew that distinctive voice was his even if everyone else said a loud “NO.”
Years later I wasn’t working at the same studio with those naysayers any longer and couldn’t call their extensions and say, “See? I knew it was him,” after the secret was revealed Don’t you love being right about things? LOL!

I love the part about breathing through a scuba valve and recording in different-sized rooms for the best effect. Lucas was a consumated artist, no doubt about it; and he hired accordingly.

Yes, that’s a fun factoid.

Is Viva moving to Florida after all? I wonder what the big announcement is all about.

By the way, they are pulling a small trailer! Of course, that could just be their stuff (they have a bunch of kids with them).

Fabulous! How do you not hurt yourself doing such a high vault no matter how soft the landing?
Never having heard of Mondo before, I had to look him up only to discover he’s uber famous. In case others hadn’t heard of him either, here’s some info…though he was born in Lafayette, LA, he competes for Sweden, the home country of his mother (mmm, wonder why that is). He won the gold medal in the recent Summer Olympics in Tokyo. His surname is French and Mondo’s father claims Cajun origin. Mondo is a nickname as Armand is his given name. He looks taller, but he’s 5’11”.

Unbelievable how high that bar is! Must be 18 feet, and so much higher than his pole. Just…wow.

Pretty compelling evidence.
Imagine being so full of hate that you choose, day in and day out, to lie and pretend not to know things. And, indeed, Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff, Liz and Adam all have knowledge of this procedure. If President Trump had not ordered the transition, that would have been revealed years ago.
Yes, Biden’s people tried to pretend that they were being blocked and went on a huge campaign to make the public believe President Trump was slow-walking transition. But Biden’s people in charge know the truth. Like the lying liars they are, they choose to peddle fabrications in service of their agenda to destroy America.

Excellent article.
The Global Warming Narrative Just Hit a Literal Iceberg
The accumulation of sea ice was documented here several years ago. Scientists had trouble reaching their research stations in Antarctica in 2015 due to the amount of ice. In fact, in 2013, some 19,000 Manhattan-sized islands of sea ice were created. It’s been noted for its resilience in these heated times.
In that same year, the Arctic Ice Cap was supposed to be gone. By 2013, no more ice cap, right? It grew by over 533,000 square miles. These people are wrong. They were wrong in the 1970s when global cooling was the t-shirt of the week. Global warming is such a non-threat that the CIA’s operation and research into it were terminated in 2015.
Should we be concerned about conservation? Sure—that’s an entirely different thing. Hunters are very keen on this subject as well. That’s not what the green warriors want, however.
Notice how all these global warming policies center on controlling the means of production. They’re not even hiding it anymore, folks.

Over and over again, I read on social media how it would be better for both the mother and baby to ‘terminate’ the pregnancy (murder the baby). As if it would be better to die than to live a less than idyllic life. Disgusting. Here is a good example explained:
https://thefederalist.com/2022/07/01/what-the-washington-post-didnt-tell-you-about-the-teenage-mom-who-decided-not-to-abort-her-twins/
[. . .] Kitchener could have painted a picture of a young man who stepped up to his responsibilities, a family who embraced Brooke and gave her respite from an unkind world. She could have depicted fiercely independent young mother who desperately loves her daughters. But this would not have supported the Post’s theme: that Brooke’s life was ruined by her inability to access abortion.
We have the chance now to alter public perception and create the types of spaces where families like Brooke and Billy’s are valued in our society – a place where no baby ends up in a medical waste bin, and where no one is ever forced to choose between opportunity and the life of their child. For information on how to help families like Brooke and Billy’s please visit Optionline.org, to find a pregnancy resource center near you.

Stella, what a bee-utiful photo of the Barque Eagle under sail! I have never been on it, but would love to. DH has always disliked that the CG painted the racing stripe on the hull. It was not there when he sailed it back in the 1970s. He says instead they should have incorporated it into the sails. Thanks for this one!
Happy Independence Day weekend to all y’all! Hope Aus’s road trip with her son is going well.

What it looks like in Leavenworth, WA today…BEAUTIFUL!….(1 of 3 live webcams, this one from Kris Kringl–where the claim is that it’s Christmas all year ’round)….
The following video features my favorite YouTube travel couple, Matt and Nat. They live in Nashville, TN. Matt is a musician/songwriter and also is involved in the music program at his church. Nat is a singer, too, but presently works for an airline. I’ve watched their live chats and they seem a very likable and down-to-earth pair…

Well, it’s the wrong live camera feed link and not from Kris Kringle…but is lovely anyway. I watch all the live feeds from Leavenworth. Occasionally you’ll see the horse drawn open carriage ferrying visitors around.
