Auscitizenmom called me last night, having unplugged her internet before remembering to say bye to all ya’all. She will be radio silenced till Tuesday, when she gets to Montana. Her son arrived and took over nicely, and Loki loves him. They expect to pack the truck today and start the drive on Wednesday.

Lord, I hope all goes well for them. It’s a long haul. Mornin’ Czarina!

Thanks for letting us know!

Thank you, czarina, for the info. I’m praying all goes well. That trip is nearly three times the mileage of my longest-ever trip from California to Washington.

My longest trip was in the 1970’s, when I drove my parents’ truck and 25′ trailer from San Diego to Detroit. They were in SD for the winter, and my dad got sick, so I flew out and drove them back. It was during the gas shortages, and we were getting 5 mph. Worst trip of my life, but it was beautiful too.

Mornin’ Lucille…like Stella, I’m a sailing fool. Those are inspiring pics!

That top photo is interesting – looks like they’re running wing’n’wing in some big seas!

Good day, weather! From the time I was a small child my mother’s younger brother had sail boats. He later became a yacht salesman. So we spent lovely days on the Pacific in the 1950s and 60s, though generally near the Southern California coast and luckily never running into rough seas like the first photo.

Perfect commentary! No doubt in my mind the fascists are planning another full-scale steal along with violence in 2024.

Afternoon Lucille!

Good afternoon, Miz Wee! It’s around 82 degrees today and so far I don’t even need the air conditioning on yet. Saving money is a beautiful thing!

Mornin all ya’all! Sunny with passing clouds, probably more rain today. Seems we have broken the drought; June is usually a wet month but we had very little rain before this week. Got .1 of an inch on Sunday, and .6 last night. Blueberries are happy now. Yard looks much better. Expect figs to start ripening. Some cooking pears look ready. No edible peaches tho, the bugs got them.

Morning Czarina – and thanks for the update on Mom. Last year we had 50 apples on our two trees…this year, ONE night of freezing temps killed every bud on them and on our pear trees. Last year the ants got the pears…hope they starve this year!

Mornin’! We could use more rain here too.

With such thoughts and suggestions, her inner life must be as ugly as the day is long. She would have been right at home working for Josef Mengele.

I like something that Sundance said a couple of weeks ago. I commented about something that one of these ‘gender identity’ crazies said: That I didn’t think that she really believed what she was saying. Sundance replied that there is a lot of that going around these days. He said:
It’s all part of the great “pretending.”
It’s everywhere.
The root of it, is turning away from a moral compass as guided by God. Society is playing the role of Peter the apostle.
I agree with him. A lot of these leftists are pretending to believe things when they don’t for political purposes.

At least one of the things that the Jan 6 committee ‘witness’ said today is a lie:
Cassidy Hutchinson testifies that she was told that as then-President Donald Trump was being driven back to the White House after the Jan. 6 rally that he demanded to be taken to the Capitol and tried to grab the steering wheel from a Secret Service agent.

This is why we know that:
The Beast driver is separated from the passengers for security.

And just who told her such a ridiculous thing? Doubtful she would reveal the name because she knows she is lying. It’s like you said above, Stella, they are going through a great “pretending.”

We already knew this, but it is good to hear it anyway:

HOW WONDERFUL! Such confirmation of truth is always delightful! Did she actually think she’d get away with testifying about second-hand info accompanied by no evidence or naming names? Her 15 minutes on the world stage IS OVERRRRR!
“Out, out, brief candle.
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.” – Shakespeare

Wisconsin Boy Scout comforts truck driver during his final moments after Amtrak derailment
June 28, 2022 by Todd Jaquith
Eli Skrypczak is a 15-year-old Boy Scout who was aboard the train when it derailed after colliding with a dump truck in Missouri. Following the collision, Skrypczak rushed to aid the dying truck driver, and comforted him in his last moments on earth when it was clear nothing could be done to save him.

I just preordered my blu-ray copy of the new Downton Abbey movie. I don’t have a ship date yet, but the release date is July 5.
