I wish we had someone like Ron DeSantis as governor of my state. This is a great idea.
It will soon be reading, writing, and return on investments for Sunshine State students.
A bill signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday requires all Florida kids to take and pass a basic financial literacy course to graduate from high school.
The skills prioritized by the legislation will be “applicable in their lives regardless of what path they take,” DeSantis said Tuesday at a Tampa press conference.
Worth half a credit, the course will be required beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, the Florida governor said.
Open this up for the entire nation. Actually it would be nice to have school vouchers so you can go to any school you like. I am seeing more schools that dumb down rather than teacher up to better quality.

I think other states are considering similar legislation. I have said this for years. I was lucky to have a father who taught me how to manage my money, establish credit etc, but not everybody does.

Totally agree, Pa. Privatization of education is the key, to be sure. This legislation is a huge leap but, sadly, will require oversight to be sure the content is being taught correctly.

How will they ever have time for lessons in gender-bending and self-hating woke diatribes?
