Mornin’ Wee. I guess it’s just us this morning. 🙂 Sunny, humid, yada, yada, here. It is like I live in a subtropical zone or something. I can’t believe that another week has gone by. But, it has. Hope your weekend is nice.

Morning US Mom, I’m here, and actually here before noon! 😉
I read what you write about the weather in Florida, and for my health I would love to find somewhere drier, sunnier, but still cool/cold weather to live. A conservative place to live. I could not live long in Florida due to the weather. At the same time, I do not want to give up territory. It is currently still nice living here. Why should I move other than for health?
My best friend is also thinking of leaving, but her kids are still in college, and she has family & a small business here that is not easily moved. We are both thinking of building “age in place” houses, but fear that soon home building will be next to impossible due to lack of materials like wiring, lighting, hvac, etc.
Day late, dollar short, & death by a thousand (medical) cuts (problems). That’s the story of my life.
At a minimum, I need to move out of this house. It will cost too much to make it handicapped accessible. sigh.
God decides.
I can only do as best I can, then let my prayers rise up to God.
I have to put this back on my desktop:
Worrying does not Empty Tomorrow of its’ Troubles.
It Empties Today of its’ Strength, Action & Joy, so
Prepare for the Probable,
Pray for & Expect the Best,
Then Let it Go &
Trust to God the Rest.
~ adapted from Mary Englebreit
Maybe it will help others who are stressed at the current situation.

Excellent words to live by. Many of us are in situations which need to or may need to change in the next little while. It is good to keep your eye on what may change and affect your life (inflation, change in pension or work status, mobility declines) so you can make good plans (ostrich thinking is not good). Obsession or worrying without making constructive plans and setting good goals does nothing for your emotional health.
I am at such a crux, trying to sell our old house and get the profits into something which will protect the money while giving me income (rental real estate).

Planning brings order and peace! I don’t always live by those words, but I did that when I was working and it helps a lot.

Yes, it does help. I always had my lists – even when young. It saves time as well as relieving the mind of remembering ‘What on The List’?!?! – which helps with the order & peace 😉

Morning All! 🙂
Here is another sunny, happy painting from Erin Hansen. I don’t know the title of it.
Have a great day everyone ☺

The colors are jarring, to say the least – orange and purple!

They are bright!
In a good autumn with New England Asters with autumn leaves & marigolds etc., these are the colors you see:

Lots of orange and purple here! 😉
Something came around a couple of weeks ago and ate the tops off my NE Asters! But the foliage looks good so far this year. So that’s nice.

Ooops – the NE Asters with Butterflies is by Carol Duke.

Thanks for the reminder. Better to read these than Critical Race Theory…

I hope this isn’t coming here. It certainly is in Canada. Read the entire chain of tweets, if you are able to:
