    I’ve been binge-listening to this artist….

Django Reinhardt CLIP performing live (1945). He performs with the String Quintet of the Hot Club of France which he formed in 1934, along with violinist Stephane Grappelli.

This style is called “Gypsy Jazz”, and Django Reinhardt was born to a Gypsy family in Liberchies, Belgium on 1/23/1910. He died in Fontainebleau, France on 5/16/1953.

This film clip doesn’t show much, but watch his incredible left hand work using only two fingers. His hand was permanently injured in a fire when he was 18. He is considered one of the greatest guitarists of the 20th century.

The GOP Should Revolt Against Lame Duck Pelosi’s Dictatorship
    Kurt Schlichter – Posted: Aug 02, 2021 12:01 AM

The ridiculous mask kabuki that Lame Duck Dictator Nancy Pelosi is attempting to impose upon the Party of Freedom is the perfect opportunity for the GOP to demonstrate that it is not a flock of hapless, wriggling invertebrates. A little spine shown right about now would go a long way, not only to winning back Congress in 2022 by an even bigger margin than currently anticipated but to fixing the institution that power-mad harridan has grievously damaged. It might mean accepting that Republicans will be booted from the House for a bit, but who cares? We have zero input anyway. Make a stand.

Morning all. We get a little weather break this week, highs will be mid 80s most days, about ten degrees cooler than last week. Expect we will get back to hot, hot August soon.

Parents around here are rushing around completing that endless school supply list. Oh, how I used to hate it, and now teachers want everything under the sun. Not good enough to say pencils or pens, they have specific brands you have to go hunting. Same with notebooks and everything else. Which is ridiculous, what does a teacher care whether you have a Bic or a Uni-ball?

I truly did go off to school with a cigar box holding a couple of big sized pencils they had for the learning to write kids, a pack of eight crayons, a bottle of the Elmer’s glue in the brown bottle with the sponge on top, and scissors. And every single kid in the room had those exact same things, also in cigar boxes which our mamas had rounded up from somewhere.

We learned better back then, with less.

Mornin’ All. It is probably up to 85* now at 9:00 AM. Of course, it doesn’t get much below 80* at night here, anyway. There is a poor little duck that laid eggs last year, and sat on them for about 4 months. The normal time is about 28 days. Nothing ever hatched and finally she left. She came back this year and laid some more on top of the ones that were there from last year. It has been about 2 months already. A neighbor and I finally figured out what the problem is. Her nest is in a protected place, except from the sun. Those eggs are probably cooked. It gets so hot there in the afternoon, that she has to get off the nest and sit in the shade, panting. Very sad. I hope none of you are getting cooked in the sun. 🙂

Flashback: On Election Night Chris Wallace Said Election Workers in MI, PA, WI, NC, GA and NV Had to Stop Counting Because They’re “Normal People” Who “Need to Sleep”
By Jim Hoft – Published August 1, 2021 at 4:55pm

    Never Forget.

On Election night 2020 six battleground states announced they were going to quit counting before midnight and go home for the night.

The six states all had Democratic governors, except for Georgia who had Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. President Trump was ahead in each state before the “pauses.”
