    Mornin’ all. Hot and humid here. I am already ready for a nap. My housekeeper is coming today. I knew something was wrong when she called me and I pressed her about it and found out that the people who own the house they have been living in for the last 2 or 3 years are coming back from up North to retire in Florida. They have about 30 days to get out. Rent has gone up down here and they are having trouble finding anything to move to. She is pregnant and due in a couple of months. They had everything planned out, money in the bank to tide them over until she could go back to work after the baby comes and this just upends everything. I feel so sorry for her. She works so hard and doesn’t ask anything from anybody. I’m sure something will work out eventually, but they don’t have long to find something.

      Wonder if your housekeeper has access to a church family, or even compassionate friends?
      .
      Do you know her well enough to go to bat for her and make some inquiries?
      .
      Many people travel north for the winter, would someone be willing to rent for
      a short period of time, so that she has more time to find a place?
      .
      Sometimes we can be direct part of the solution, other times we can make a point of
      putting it in our prayers, and lo and behold a solution pops up.
      .
      Your description of her is most compassionate.

        I put her in my prayers. She has a 13 yr old daughter that she obviously is raising right. She is a very good girl, very sweet. I pray they can work something out.

        Oh, she told me there was a house that came up for rent, but as soon as it came out on Zillow there were 60 people put on a list for it. :\

      IMO it is really wrong to give people as little as 30 days to move. Finding a place in these times can take that. If you own a house, live in another part of the country, and are permanently moving to Florida, then you’ve known a long time.

      Good afternoon, aus! Hopefully this dear lady will find a new place. Our rents here are being raised $150 a month. Mighty big leap, IMO.

    This is interesting. Dr. Gold spoke to VP Pence last year and asked him to talk to Pres. Trump about an executive order to make HCQ available over the counter. He never went Pres. Trump.
