Good morning all. We had nasty storms here last night. Some of my outdoor furniture is blown over, as is my swing, which I hope survived the storm intact. We have thunderstorms all week here. Summer in the South. Still, or the most part, cooler than usual, as it has been all summer. I like that!

Here’s a good post about a man who had a journey to stand by his conscience. He made a big sacrifice in the end, and I admire him not only for his decision, but especially for having the courage to change his former decision in so public a manner.

In order to protect his fellow band mates from the wokey woke crowd he left his band, Mumford and Sons.

Mornin’ All. Hot and humid here. Normal. Sun is shining brightly and my. air conditioner is working well, so I will survive. I need to eat something for breakfast and I am meeting my friend for lunch. It is hard for me to eat earlier enough to be hungry for lunch by 12:30. I don’t usually want anything until about 2:00. So, I had better get it done. Hope you all have a great day.

Hello All, I’m sorry I’m not around much anymore, but I’m just not on that much anymore. Things aren’t any really different and we don’t know much anymore as appointments are 3 months apart.
He had a CT scan the other day ordered by his kidney doctor, but we don’t have any results and he won’t go back to him until the end of this month, the same for the cancer doctor.

I do ask for prayers today though for a young man and his family that I do not know, but he’s 17 years old and was in a crash Saturday night at Superbowl Speedway in Texas while racing a mini sprint. It caught on fire and appears the track wasn’t prepared to deal with a fire and it took several minutes to get him out. His poor Mom was watching and from what I’ve read ran to the track but couldn’t get to him. I can’t imagine that. He was air lifted to a burn center somewhere in Texas.

One of the things that frustrates me with racing is tracks with no training how to deal with gas and methanol fires and think chemical and water fire extinguishers will put them out. My SIL has a fire suppression in his car(imho they should be mandatory for all race cars), but I told him last night after hearing about this young man and how poorly the track performed that I was going to order a foam fire extinguisher and extra cartridges to keep on the UTV just in case. I know it would take us a minute to get out of the stands and onto the UTV and to the track, but still probably quicker than how long it took them as I’ve seen his car was on fire for around 5 minutes.
