Mornin’ Lucille, Wee, and everyone. Grey skies and humid here today preceding the impending hurricane. Haven’t seen the weather guessers guess yet. It rained all day yesterday off and on, sometimes pouring. But, I checked the rain gauge and it only showed 1/2 inch. I think I need to move it to a more exposed place. That can’t be right. Happy 4th of July. Hope your weather is great today.

Good Independence Day to you, aus! The sun is playing with clouds at the moment and it’s 86 degrees. Very nice day. No one in the complex is having a celebration and I’ve been sitting here watching videos, going through my emails, then stopping at Stella’s while my lunch cooks itself.

I made a run to the gas station since I remembered that I only had a half tank of gas. There was nobody there, except one car and I couldn’t tell if they were pumping gas or maybe it was closed and there was no gas. Turned out, it was just not busy. and there was plenty of gas. So, I guess I am all ready for the storm, whatever it turns out to be.

Last night our wide spot in the road had fireworks suitable for a good sized city. Plenty of pretty and flash-bang, lasted over 30 minutes. First tho, they had a gospel sing, then a group who sang the national anthem, for which everyone rose and placed their hands over hearts. Welcome to the rural south.

We had an awesome fireworks show right in the field behind the pond. Neighbors young adult kids and probably at least a dozen friends set off a bunch of really cool fireworks from the old dock. Our grandson was really happy.

My DIL sent me a picture of my granddaughters, 6 and 4. They went out to get eggs out of the henhouse. Of course, they had to do it in costume………….you know, like Laura Ingalls. 🙂 So cute.
