    Mornin’ Wee, Lucille, and everyone. Sunny, hot, humid, yada, yada, yada. I talked to my son last night. He is in the Mideast again. He says they are on lockdown again. Without the vaccine you can’t go anywhere at all. I can’t wait until he is back home and out of the Navy.

    We are going to another freebee today. I am not sure what it is about, but, as my friend says, “free lunch.” It is a picnic, I guess, being put on by ………Barbecue. Can’t remember it right now. It will be good for me to get away. I have been overdosing on Hope for Paws rescue videos.

    Anyway, enjoy your day.

      Good morning, aus! We’re going to be at 97 today. I’m up early to get my grocery delivery so nothing is wilted or wrecked because of the heat later. I sure hope and pray our power grid holds up because EVERYONE will have on their air conditioners. Except for the computer, I don’t plan to have any appliances on during the day once it gets into the 80s. It’s at 72 right now.

      I know what you mean about Hope For Paws. I love Eldad and the gals. They are miracle workers

      Afternoon aus, hope your picnic was fun. My DIL took me and my other DIL out for a very nice dinner last night. Unusual foods I had never heard of, many of them, but what I had was delicious. And you are right, it was good to get out of the house and do something unusual. First time I’ve had to dress nice in a long time. Can’t decide if I liked it or not.

      It was a luncheon for a medical center, veteran groups, and was catered by Mission BBQ. They had a small group playing old 60’/70’s songs. So we really enjoyed it. They were giving out prizes.

      I won an adult tricycle. It is brand new and beautiful. I have always wanted one and there I sat and I had the winning ticket. Even though I would have loved to have it, I had no way to get it home, although I am sure there were guys there who would have used their truck to help. Also, as much as I wanted it, I have no place to put it. And, the tires would have rotted on the patio in this heat/humidity within 6 months and it would have started to rust. So, I donated it to a veteran’s organization for a vet. Somehow, I am extremely happy with that.

      Oh, lucky all of us that were there. We left about an hour or so ago and a storm just moved in and it is raining. :\

    If anyone attending the rally even remotely suggests that misdeeds or violence be committed against Bide-Harr, I hope they get reported to security and are told to leave. Watching out for instigators such as FBI informant types is unfortunately totally necessary.

    We are getting lots of rain here. Freeways are flooded, and we are expecting quite a bit more rain overnight. My basement hasn’t flooded, but I’m holding my breath hoping that I won’t get water backed up into the basement like happened last year. I have two new sump pumps and had both my sanitary and storm sewer lines snaked last summer, so hoping! Say a little prayer for me if you get a few minutes.

    My belongings are up above where I have had flooding before, so I should be okay that way. I’m trying to get laundry done before the rain starts again.
