Mornin’ Menage!

I think I have been paying too much attention to American politics. I was puzzled about this. But, that picture of all the girls together made me wonder. Did someone poison the bride so the younger sister could marry the man she loved and who loved her. It might be that the older one has to marry before the younger one does.

Mornin’ Wee. I know that marriages like this are usually done for reasons other than love. Something like this happened in the British royal family (but not on the same day!) when Mary of Teck married George (who later became King George V) after her original fiance, his older brother Albert, died of influenza.

My first thought was Jacob, who wanted to marry Rachel, but Leah had to be married first….

Mornin’ All. We finally got some rain yesterday. It wasn’t more than 1/2 inch here, but it was a little. But, now sun, humidity, heat, yada, yada, yada. I can’t believe it is already June. That reminds me my son and DIL’s wedding anniversary is the 11th. They have spent so few anniversaries together on the same continent. But, he should be home soon. Well, enjoy the weekend.

Tapper is such a sleaze. I used to think he was a serious news guy, even if I didn’t agree with his opinions.

Just wanted to air my thoughts about Covid, the vaccine, etc. President Trump accomplished unbelievable things while in office; the ‘vaccine’ was the final assault on his presidential legacy, and I hope he is finished pushing that narrative. He’s such a fine patriot and had (and still has) several solid advisors but too often seems to heed the wrong voices.

I guess that depends on whether or not you believe that the vaccine is good or bad. President Trump obviously believed it was necessary and a good thing overall. I have been vaccinated because I think it is the right decision for me. It may not be the right decision for you, and I honor that decision.

There are so many good nuggets in this one.

The difference between morality and character, or liberty and freedom. Character is doing what’s right. Morality is not doing what’s wrong. All that is necessary for evil to prosper is for good people to do nothing.

I love the discussion about the Israelites wandering in the wilderness and complaining about how good it was in Egypt.

Yes, especially striking for me because I recently went through that passage.

Stella, I have a hard time watching videos. Often they don’t hold my attention unless I can just listen while walking, etc. but this one was riveting. And the fish story was, well, I sat here trying to think of a word. I can’t. Thanks for posting.
