AMEX MARINES HURL BACK FOE IN FIERCE HAND FIGHTING
U.S. Marines played a key role in reversing a German advance at Belleau Wood, during the Second Battle of the Marne, and built a reputation for ferocity in one of the bloodiest fights American troops faced during the war. (The New York Herald, 1918)

Good day to you, WeeWeed! Yes, indeed! A good friend of mine who was an officer in the USMC spends Memorial Day in solitude remembering each one of the young men he wasn’t able to bring back with him from Vietnam. He was severely injured in the battle where his men died and spent a year and a half in the hospital being put back together. God bless him.

Afternoon Lucy!

Mornin’ Lucille, Wee, and those who show up later. 🙂 It is only 73* here, but so humid it is almost hard to breathe. Had a little fog, but it has already lifted and the sun is shining really bright.
Stella, that is a beautiful picture at the top.

Good morning, aus! We’e heading to 81 today. I can see the sun shining through the blinds but it doesn’t seem to be bright. A layer of yellow pollen is everywhere and bringing out the allergies. May the last day of May treat you well.

I just wonder if the corporations will take it from here. We flew shortly after the Kung flu started, and then in March of this year and the airline was 10x worse this year compared to last year. They don’t seem to be following the science.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch. NY court clears way for homeless shelter on Billionaire’s Row. Michael Dell owns a condo in the building that was worth a cool $100,000,000. Not sure where Wild-Bill is gonna live when he’s done destroying the city, but I’m bettin’ it’s not here.

Russian FM Lavrov Speaks Out Against Unconstitutional Persecution of Jan. 6 Protesters Held in Isolation by US Govt. — Something Timid GOP Leaders Refuse to Do
By Jim Hoft – Published May 31, 2021 at 10:30am
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke out against the unconstitutional continued persecution of the Jan. 6 protesters.
The US Government has arrested somewhere near 450 US citizens for the protests at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Many of those patriots were arrested by the FBI after they were welcomed into the US Capitol by police officers that day. (This we know for a fact.)
