I like that first fence so much. My favorite gardens are the ones I get a few glimpses of in Savannah and Charleston, sheltered by a stone wall or with a beautiful old fence and gate like that, very private and peaceful retreats. Lots of them in St. Augustine FL too.

That is my fav fence photo, too. I wish there had been a fuller shot to show the house, but the medium close-up shows how stunning the ironwork is. Nostalgia…a lot can be said in favor of it.

That’s a good quote, Lucille. When our home in Calif became overrun with blue forces, we took our memories and moved away. Will always remember the sights and distinctive smells of all the seasons where we grew up.

Good memories are gifts that we can pull out at any time and enjoy. My memories of growing up in California are a mixed bag but mostly fall on the favorable side. It’s not just a shame but a crime what has been done to that state.

Good morning, aus. We’re overcast and the prediction is for a cloudy day with no rain. 55 right now but next week will be in the 80/90s. I should get on with sorting giveaway items and cleaning. But all I really want to do is go back to bed…preferably out here….

It rained here. Well, not exactly rained, it more of the cloud that was going over spit on us …………once. I was shocked to see dampness on the patio which dried up within 5 min.

Another day without rain, now at day 10. Got the dump truck scheduled this morning with three loads delivered and spread so I now have gravel and not intermittent mud puddles and ruts in the driveway and just off the parking pad. One of the joys of living in the country is that you have to maintain your driveway all the way out to the street (800’ in our case).

The third impeachment trial of President Trump has been defeated. Might as well have had Mueller heading it up since he is adept at spending taxpayer dollars on a phony investigation. Wonder what Nance and Chuckie will pull out of their sleeves now.

It’s been really strange not to have Rush to fall back on. Getting his opinions on the day’s events was comforting. Even when I disagreed with his take, it was great just to know he was there. I hope these new guys can merely halfway fill that huge void Rush left behind.
