Been there in ’66. Saw both Yellowstone an Glacier. To my teenager eyes, Yellowstone was more picturesque and Glacier was a rugged beauty! Both were absolutely AWESOME!

As an afterthought, I recall Quake Lake had tree trunks growing out of the lake. Wonder what that same memory would look like today! I didn’t have a camera back then! The Caldera would almost assuredly be different today.

Although I’ve driven through Wyoming, I’ve not been to Montana. There was the possibility of going there in 2020. Alas, the Wuhan squelched that. So close yet so far.

Lived in northern Utah and my fave places are between Bear Lake and Red Lodge, Montana. But, Glacier Park is also wonderful.

I was just reading a short bio of Gary Cooper and found this: “During the summers of 1922 and 1923, Cooper worked at Yellowstone National Park as a tour guide driving the yellow open-top buses.”
He was born in Montana to a well-off family which later bought a large bit of ranch acreage where he learned to ride horses, hunt, fish…all the things which made his entrance into Western films easier.

I have the happy memory of having been to Bear Lake and seen that view Lucille. I have a picture of the lake as my screensaver on the iPad, and a picture of the peaks framed and hanging in my bedroom.

Bear Lake is such a beautiful place…two photos of pretty much the same spot…the second image being a tad more like what I would take and the other from the Fine Art America website by a professional named Ken Brodeur….

This was made in early November. There was a light dusting of snow, but many of the aspens still had enough beautiful, colorful leaves left for me to see them “quake.” I also got to see some of them in Vermont a year or so later.

Now that CNN has arrogantly but unknowingly fessed up to brainwashing their viewers (FOR THEIR OWN GOOD is the cry), you suppose those same viewers will start to protest against all the other bits and pieces of the BIG LIE? Nah, not a chance in the nether regions! If they even find out about the con, they’ll say it was worth it to get rid of us white supremacists and that orange man insurrectionist.

Mornin’ Lucille, and everyone who shows up later. 🙂 It is very grey and overcast here. A little cool even though it is 74* and VERY humid. I think it is supposed to rain here today. I sure hope so. We really need it. I believe some of you are going to get snow. My DIL said they are. I don’t think it will snow here. 😀

My oldest son was in ice and snow a week or two ago, I think it might have been Ohio. He said he was happily able to get his load and very quickly get out.
Morning Stella. We have cooler weather here today, only getting up to 66. Supposedly no rain until next Saturday though. Which will be good for me since I’ll be going to PT starting next week.

Well, it is almost 3:30 and we got NO rain. Nothing but……….SUN and heat and humidity. And, Loki still wants to walk. She doesn’t care how hot it is. It is only 86*, but it feels a lot hotter.

I am watching Quigley Down Under. I know I saw it years ago, but I don’t remember a thing about it except for Tom Selleck. Him I remember. Yum. This is a really good movie, and I am paying attention to his acting. I don’t think he has ever gotten as much credit as an actor as he deserves. And, he is a lot of man. 😯

This is one of my husband’s favorite movies. I enjoyed it too, but my husband has watched it several times over the years. I’ve always been a Selleck fan. We recently watched his series of Jesse Stone movies which were really good.

Also he does some westerns based on Louis L’Amour books, and Sam Elliott is in them. If you haven’t seen them, they are really good as well. When you put a Louis L’Amour story with actors like that it is a heck of a combo.

Yeah, seen all of those. I watch any movie connected with Louis L’Amour. And, I have actually watched anything that Tom Selleck or Sam Elliott is in.
