Yellow trout lily, Michigan woodlands…
“Rocky Mountain National Park in northern Colorado spans the Continental Divide and encompasses protected mountains, forests and alpine tundra. It’s known for the Trail Ridge Road and the Old Fall River Road, drives that pass aspen trees and rivers. The Keyhole Route, a climb crossing vertical rock faces, leads up Longs Peak, the park’s tallest mountain. A trail surrounding Bear Lake offers views of the peaks.” ― Google

Been there in ’66. Saw both Yellowstone an Glacier. To my teenager eyes, Yellowstone was more picturesque and Glacier was a rugged beauty! Both were absolutely AWESOME!

As an afterthought, I recall Quake Lake had tree trunks growing out of the lake. Wonder what that same memory would look like today! I didn’t have a camera back then! The Caldera would almost assuredly be different today.

Not Quake Lake, but Yellowstone Lake. Quake Lake was on the Madison River!

Although I’ve driven through Wyoming, I’ve not been to Montana. There was the possibility of going there in 2020. Alas, the Wuhan squelched that. So close yet so far.
This scene must be absolutely spectacular in person…

Lived in northern Utah and my fave places are between Bear Lake and Red Lodge, Montana. But, Glacier Park is also wonderful.

I was just reading a short bio of Gary Cooper and found this: “During the summers of 1922 and 1923, Cooper worked at Yellowstone National Park as a tour guide driving the yellow open-top buses.”
He was born in Montana to a well-off family which later bought a large bit of ranch acreage where he learned to ride horses, hunt, fish…all the things which made his entrance into Western films easier.

I have the happy memory of having been to Bear Lake and seen that view Lucille. I have a picture of the lake as my screensaver on the iPad, and a picture of the peaks framed and hanging in my bedroom.

Bear Lake is such a beautiful place…two photos of pretty much the same spot…the second image being a tad more like what I would take and the other from the Fine Art America website by a professional named Ken Brodeur….

Thanks Lucille, here’s my own amateur pic.

This was made in early November. There was a light dusting of snow, but many of the aspens still had enough beautiful, colorful leaves left for me to see them “quake.” I also got to see some of them in Vermont a year or so later.

Thanks, Menagerie! Looks like it’s a most popular spot to shoot great photos whether professionally or for our own enjoyment and viewing.
What would we do without photography! Only recently did I discover that the man called the Father of Photography was Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. I’d never heard of him before. Check out him and his first primitive photo here…TIME 100 Photos

Good day to you, Ms. WeeWeed! Perfect commentary!
Now that CNN has arrogantly but unknowingly fessed up to brainwashing their viewers (FOR THEIR OWN GOOD is the cry), you suppose those same viewers will start to protest against all the other bits and pieces of the BIG LIE? Nah, not a chance in the nether regions! If they even find out about the con, they’ll say it was worth it to get rid of us white supremacists and that orange man insurrectionist.

Mornin’ Lucille, and everyone who shows up later. 🙂 It is very grey and overcast here. A little cool even though it is 74* and VERY humid. I think it is supposed to rain here today. I sure hope so. We really need it. I believe some of you are going to get snow. My DIL said they are. I don’t think it will snow here. 😀

Mornin’ mom! Weather Underground says we may get snow showers on Wednesday, when it will be slightly below freezing (at night).

My oldest son was in ice and snow a week or two ago, I think it might have been Ohio. He said he was happily able to get his load and very quickly get out.
Morning Stella. We have cooler weather here today, only getting up to 66. Supposedly no rain until next Saturday though. Which will be good for me since I’ll be going to PT starting next week.

It’s a little late for snow here, and I don’t imagine we will get very much. Good that your weather will be mild.

Yeah! Onward to PT, and beyond!

Good afternoon, aus! We’re at a balmy 71, the sun is out with no snow in sight until October. Somehow I have the feeling we’re going to fry this summer, though. Ah, well, to the Idaho lakes I will go…

Well, it is almost 3:30 and we got NO rain. Nothing but……….SUN and heat and humidity. And, Loki still wants to walk. She doesn’t care how hot it is. It is only 86*, but it feels a lot hotter.

Watch out boys and girls. Crazy Ted is on the loose in DC. No mask. Caution to the wind. Should probably be enough of a reason for Jack to kick him off the Tweeter, and Marky-Mark to shut down his FB page.

Croatian students design device to remove microplastics from the sea
By croatiaweek – April 12, 2021
ZAGREB, 12 April (Hina) – Four students from the Croatian city of Split have designed a device for cleaning microplastics from the sea, which unlike other such devices is remote-controlled and can move around.

I am watching Quigley Down Under. I know I saw it years ago, but I don’t remember a thing about it except for Tom Selleck. Him I remember. Yum. This is a really good movie, and I am paying attention to his acting. I don’t think he has ever gotten as much credit as an actor as he deserves. And, he is a lot of man. 😯

One of my bride’s favorites. Mr. Selleck, and Mr. Rickman both.

This is one of my husband’s favorite movies. I enjoyed it too, but my husband has watched it several times over the years. I’ve always been a Selleck fan. We recently watched his series of Jesse Stone movies which were really good.

Did you buy them? We found some free, but had to rent the others. I’d like to watch them again eventually.

No, I didn’t buy them. I just watched them when they came out and then, again when they did reruns.

Also he does some westerns based on Louis L’Amour books, and Sam Elliott is in them. If you haven’t seen them, they are really good as well. When you put a Louis L’Amour story with actors like that it is a heck of a combo.

Yeah, seen all of those. I watch any movie connected with Louis L’Amour. And, I have actually watched anything that Tom Selleck or Sam Elliott is in.
