Happy Bench Monday….
Sunrise on Lake Worth, FL…
Trogir, Croatia…
(Ivan Mrvos from Croatia created his first solar smart bench in 2014 while still a high school student. A charging station, it also provides WiFi, seat cooling, lighting and advertising.)
Alcester, England…
(This Roman-times market town is conveniently crossed by two rivers–the Arrow and the Alne.)
Bregenz, Austria…
Have a beautiful day!

Looking up photos is a fun way to while away the time. This time around I thought putting in more description would be fun, too.
From what I’ve seen on the Internet, each one of these towns is well worth visiting. You can probably visit Lake Worth and tell us about it.
The pictures of Trogir in Croatia show the city is quite beautiful. It’s great that a teenager thought up the charging station. Some of them are specifically for electric bicycles. Hope he’s making a bundle off them.
The black timber framed buildings like in the English town do lend a certain charm that you don’t see much outside of the UK. This building does look a tad off kilter, though it might be an illusion because of the black vertical timber. The style comes from the medieval period. I’ve read that Shakespeare’s birthplace was such a structure.
As for the last photo, I do like bench scenes at night, though I doubt I’d have nerve enough to sit on even a very comfortable bench at 2:00 AM.

Oh, Lucille, I hope you didn’t think that what I said meant the previous bench pictures weren’t interesting. They all have been. I just thought today’s are especially interesting. That solar bench about blew me away. And, knowing how young the designer was I found amazing.

That’s called Tudor Style. Started in the early 1400’s. Very pretty, and lots of the old ones still standing!

We’ve got plenty of birds arriving here in eastern Oregon. With mainly the soft-spoken chickadees during winter, it’s rather quiet around here. The chatter of spring/summer birds is quite welcome.

There’s a manmade lake a block from my place and Canada geese home in quite often. Their honks never fails to put a smile on my face.

When they come in to our lake they sound like a pack of dogs baking!

Good morning everyone. Again, the picture above brings such memories Stella. I guess all kids remember lying in the grass and looking up through the trees at the sky. I used to dream great dreams about the world when I did that.

Good afternoon to you, WeeWeed! Faberge eggs are incredible works of art. Those little seed pearls all match in size. I wonder how many adjunct workmen sat around sorting the ones set aside for use in this example.
Apparently a number of eggs the Czar commissioned disappeared early on in the revolution. Probably are residing in a Swiss bank lockbox Putin set up to assure his old age is secure when his billions run out.

I was given an egg many years ago and someone told me it was very expensive because it was a Faberge egg. It might be a knockoff because I would think a real one would have the name on it. This one is covered in pearls and has a beautiful Nativity scene in it. I wish I had put it in a glass case years ago because it looks a little aged from sitting out.

Evenin’ Lucy! I imagine the eggs were disassembled for money, trade, whatever. Some survived obviously but probably many more were disposed of for immediate needs.

New Orleans Museum of Art has 33 small and 6 large eggs. Used to have a larger collection, but they are apparently on tour.

Mornin’ All. Beautiful sunny day here………again. I’m waiting for a call from my friend that she is finished with her appt. so we can go to breakfast. It looks like the news is a repeat of last week’s news. It is getting tiresome. Well, have a nice day…….anyway.

Good morning guys! Almost afternoon though! Hope everyone had a Blessed Resurrection Day!
Spent my weekend renovating a room! Oh the stuff you find that has been buried for years! You know, things that you remember you once had but never could find? LOL! Lots of treasures and memories! I found a box of pics of my real mom…she died when I was 5! I prolly have a couple of more weeks to finish this project since I can only do it on weekends! Have a wonderful Monday!

Yes, I keep finding things that are memories of czar of our good times together, and pictures of him from way before I knew him. Found his yearbook from his a junior year in high school. And a picture from when he was 18 and had long hair and a full, red beard.

Such good news. Let’s all pray for Senator Manchin to stand up to Schumer and the others who want to destroy America via this horrible communism-in-action bill. That Manchin failed to give other reasons than taxes I’d wager shows he’s still a bit intimidated. He’s caved before. Pray for the additional Dems who are said to be moving toward doing the right thing.

Dick Morris: Biden’s “Infrastructure Bill” Is a Lie – It’s a Ploy to Collectivize the Entire US
By Joe Hoft
Published April 5, 2021 at 8:30am
Joe Biden has no idea what he is doing and this is good for those behind the scenes running the operation. They can push the most insane and inefficient laws and regulations in history and Biden and half the American people won’t know it.
President Joe Biden’s infrastructure proposal is meant to collectivize the nation, political strategist Dick Morris said Sunday in harsh criticism of the bill.

While this is important, it is not as important as the bill with the changes they want to make with the voting rules or the gun ban,
Should this pass and the other ones pass, then the infrastructure bill can be shrunk. Nothing can be undone if the others pass.
