Good afternoon, WeeWeed! If Joey has a NEED to show he’s OK, then he’s NOT OK. He wasn’t known as the brightest bulb during his years in the Senate–unproductive for the country but very fruitful for himself instead. So he’s not had far to fall, mentally speaking, into full blown impairment.
Here’s some excellent thinking by Daniel Greenfield re where Joe’s impairment is taking us….

Mornin’ All. Well, overcast and cool here, under 60*, so it is freezing. LOL. Woke up in my own bed this morning. It was nice to be at the beach, but it is always nice to come home. I can’t get Loki until 4:00 this afternoon. They are closed after noon on Sat. and only open for an hour on Sun. for pickup. I sure missed her. I know she had a good time there because when I dropped her off she actually jumped out of her booster seat and would have hit the ground except for being locked in with a harness. LOL. And, then, she went running to the door. So, I don’t worry about her being unhappy. Hope Spring is still here for all of you. 🙂

Good day to you, aus! Glad both you and Miss Loki had a good time on holiday. It’s always great to have no kennel worries.
The sun has been trying to shine in the Idaho Panhandle and keeps poking his rays through the cloud cover. We’ve had snow and rain predicted for several days now, but just a few raindrops have fallen.

Good morning everyone, off to Mass and Costco, which didn’t get done yesterday. Happy Sunday, as we begin Passiontide, where the Church looks ever more toward the Cross. Next Sundaynwill be Palm Sunday.

So I sprayed the yard to kill weeds last week, and now it is time to get out the riding lawnmower and cut them down. The year looks quite ragged right now, with patches of dying yellow weeds and some vey resistant weed flowers. The wisteria has come into full flower and is buzzing with bees. Most trees have started leaves. Also time to cut the Knock Out roses down to half size.
64* sunny, light wind. Excellent day to be outside in rural Mississippi. Happy day to all ya’all!

Hi czarina! Nothing blooming here yet (not even weeds), but it’s sunny and 60 degrees! Will be 70 tomorrow, the weather guessers tell me.
I’m watching for the forsythia to bloom; that’s my official beginning of spring.

Just looked it up, Stella. Glorious flower! (Also ~ for Czarina ~ always loved wisteria, such a graceful vine.)

I wish that forsythia smells as nice as wisteria, but it doesn’t. My old neighbor had a wisteria “tree” and you could smell it all over the neighborhood.

Correction: I took another look, and there ARE weeds growing!

Today is my daughter’s 24th wedding anniversary. I can’t believe it has been that long, although her oldest son will be 21 this year, so it makes sense. Here’s a neat picture from their wedding.

I love this picture. This is how a bride should look on her wedding day. Perfect. She is lovely.

She purchased her (very modest) dress second hand. It is hanging in my basement right now! It is silk with a pearl-covered bodice. Here we are (Jen, my mom, me).
It was a lovely day and a beautiful traditional ceremony too. Her husband’s cousins arranged the music, musicians, vocalists etc. All of us participated in either the readings or the lighting of the unity candles (his mother and I). My son in law designed the programs. The flowers were beautiful. She carried white tulips and yellow freesia.
She processed alone (her choice); she said that a nun stood with her at the back of the church while she waited.
Here is the quilt that was made from the fabric patches that made up their guest book. The design at the center is the one that my SIL designed for their programs.

Did you make that quilt? It is beautiful. And the picture of all of you is awesome!

I did make the quilt – I took the last stitches on their third wedding anniversary. It’s a queen size! Here it is after piecing, but before quilting. It’s what they call an autograph quilt.
