Another awesome picture Stella. Morning everyone, severe storms here now for several hours. We have heavy rains, and thunder and lightning also. I might not be getting out for my workout as planned. Hope your weather is better.

It is here at the beach. The sun is killer. We both got sunburned in the car coming here. And, we were driving North and East late in the afternoon, all the way with tinted windows.

My dermatologist has a photo of a woman who sat next to a window in her office for many years. She looks like a vey old woman on the side next to the window.

Wow, what a picture. My husband has three older sisters. The oldest has never been a sun worshipper, and uses protection if out in it, which is rare for her. The next one got quite a bit of sun, and used to tan some. The youngest was a sun worshipper and every summer she was one of the darkest people you’d see, so dark that IMO, it looked odd. The oldest has beautiful almost un wrinkled skin at 70. The middle sister looks her age in her late 60s, and the youngest has ruined her skin and has to see a dermatologist regularly for her safety.

I’m probably more like the middle sister, and wish I’d been the older sister. I’m very fair-skinned, blonde hair, blue eyes. Loved the sun as a kid growing up on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and Alabama. Lots of sunburns. Have now had 6 separate episodes of skin cancer, both squamous cell and basal cell, the first when I was 32. My dad used to hound me to wear sunscreen when we were out on the boat (nearly every weekend) but oh no! Getting the perfect tan was far more important. How I wish I had listened.

Mornin’ All. Sunny here at the beach. I think what I enjoy most is the constant crashing of the waves. We spent some time yesterday rearranging the kitchen. They had the dishes spread out too much and they were in cabinets over our heads. So I fixed it so we can reach the dishes in another cabinet and the taller things, like chips and cereal in the high cabinets. At least we can now see what is up there. Well, hope your weather gets better if you are in that storm coming across.

Never stayed in a place for a week like that, with dishes and utensils. Stayed in a “housekeeping cabin” one night in Massachusetts many years ago: apparently people rent places for weeks at a time on lakes in the northern states. It was small and had minimal storage, so we could easily find things.

Good afternoon, WeeWeed! The Bee picked up on the rumor from last year that MM would like to run for office and friends mentioned that the Presidency would suit her…LOL! Well, Bide-Harr has proven that dopes can do it, even those WITH experience in the political world. She’d do real well with Xi Jinping. It’s hilarious that she lives in such a self-indulgent elitist bubble.
And whatever happened to her living in Canada? PLEASE, SOME OTHER BRIT COUNTRY TAKE HER AND HER INSIGNIFICANT OTHER! Maybe St. Helena? I mean, if it was good enough for Napoleon, it certainly would be for this pair.

This is Heather Conn, who lost her husband in a horrific accident caused by a drunk driver.
She is still recovering in a rehabilitation facility, and has a long way to go to be her “normal” self; that may never happen. Her children are living with her sister and also recovering from their injuries. They are all going through therapy. Heather says the worst thing is being forced to grieve alone because of the Covid restrictions, and mentions our tyrannical governor Whitmer.
If you don’t want to watch the entire video, she says that the drunk driver is free, has not been arrested as of yet, and asks for prayers that he doesn’t injure anyone else.
She thinks she will be able to leave rehabilitation in a week or two. Right now she is undergoing five hours a day of physical therapy. You may remember that she broke all four limbs, several ribs, had a punctured lung an a brain injury.
She thanks all who have contributed to the Go Fund Me for her family. More than $500,000 has been raised, which alleviates the worry about hospital costs and general living expenses. She also says how much she appreciates the cards and letters she has received from so many people.

By Jim Hoft – Published March 16, 2021 at 8:00am
On Monday Zack Meggs reached out to The Gateway Pundit. Zach’s parents were arrested in February by the FBI for protesting inside the US Capitol on January 6th. Zach’s parents are still being held by their government for nearly a month now. His father is in isolation most of the day.

I love this older New Jersey couple and their cooking (Grandma Feral) and baking (Grandpa Feral) show…a sweet couple that takes care of some feral kitties (their daughter is the proprietor of The Lucky Ferals YouTube channel)…

Love that sweet little bird’s nest with 4 eggs, Stella! What kind of bird is it? I am currently reading the most amazing book. It is called Alaska Bird Trails and was written an early 20th Century ornithologist named Herbert W. Brandt. It is the documentation of a scientific birding expedition from Fairbanks to Hooper Bay, Alaska by sled dog team in 1924. A 4-month-long expedition to the greatest breeding ground for migratory birds in the world. It had never been documented before. After 10 years in the Bush, I know the area well. There is so much that is fascinating in it–the land, the Yup’ik people, the dog mushing, the birds. What a great find it was.

It’s a barn swallow nest.

When I was out in the Bush, in Bethel, we had a huge flock of cliff swallows that nested every year in the 50′ tall cliff on the Kuskokwim River a few miles north. It was lots of fun to go there and anchor the boat and just lie in the bottom of it and watch the birds fly in and out of their depressions in the cliff face. Swallows eat their weight in mosquitoes every day or so, and for that are very welcome guests in the region!
