Today’s Twitter pick …

The big Twitter trending story of the day.

My take?

I didn’t watch, but this is ridiculous. Two rich entitled people living in splendor in paradise are bitching about their lot in life. Give me a break.

I probably shouldn’t comment on this because how little I think of Megyn and how sorry I feel for Harry might come across in my comment. The first thing, think about the culture she comes from…… and that is before becoming an actress. Every statement or move made is seen through the lens of racism. One of the things I heard discussed (this was on FOX and FRIENDS this morning) was that she was incensed that her little bambino was not called a prince. Somebody explained that he wouldn’t be until Charles became King and then all the grandkids would be dubbed princes and princesses. That doesn’t fit with what Will’s children are called, but maybe because he is the one in line to become King. I don’t know about that.

I think she is a b—- and he is henpecked to the point of not even being a man. Pooh on both of them.

(says the woman who used her alleged PDJT “victimhood” to negotiate a 10 million contract.)

“Have you ever seen such privileged people wallowing in their own (perceived) victimhood like this?” – Meghan Kelly

The Media has provided absolutely zero political or social reasons for me to care about anything these two self-absorbed individuals have to offer.

The set-up bordered on nauseating. Here was a duke and duchess in the unimaginably luxurious surrounds of a Californian mansion talking about how difficult their lives have been. In a country where 40million people lost their jobs as a result of lockdowns, this pair who get paid millions for making naff podcasts moaned to billionaire Oprah Winfrey about their oppression by the establishment. Meghan was wearing a $4,500 dress. She’ll probably never wear it again. That’s more than twice the amount that desperate Americans will get in their stimulus cheques to keep them afloat in the next few months. It’s perverse.

Then there’s the hypocrisy on the privacy question. Harry and Meghan detest the invasive media – they referred to it as a ‘monster machine’ – and insist they just want a private life. Yet they’re constantly revealing all. They’ve given us minute details about the miscarriage Meghan suffered. In the Oprah chat Meghan opened up about her suicidal thoughts while ‘trapped’ in the royal family. Nobody invades Meghan Markle’s privacy as much as Meghan Markle does. The problem isn’t us, the grubby, tabloid-reading public, pestering Harry and Meghan for info about their lives; the problem is them forever foisting their most intimate experiences down our throats. How about you leave us alone?

I think I may have something figured out. They acted surprised that Daddy Charles quit giving them huge chunks of money to live on after they had made it very clear they didn’t want to be a part of the Royal Family. Also, poor things may have been blindsided by the fact that their little offspring would not be called a prince once he was out of the line of succession. I imagine Harry knew all that, but couldn’t make her understand.

How much of all this has to do with Harry not being Charles’ son but is actually the son of one of the hired help – Diana’s riding instructor iirc?

Hm. Since I don’t believe most of what the couple said, I doubt it. I think some of these things happened, but not in the order they said they did. They had been talking about not being a part of the Royal Family for a long time and I think were holding off cutting ties because of the money. Daddy finally said “enough”. And, all the “racist” stuff was just more of what we hear in the US which is stupid.
