I always wonder what the actual size of paintings are. This one is 38×48 inches canvas before framing. This is from Sotheby’s where it sold for $18,900.
Oh Lucille, thank you for bringing beauty to us every day!
I wish I had the time to go back to my daily art comments. I really enjoyed it, but it took up so much time as well as all that time being on the computer which is bad for my eyes. Maybe in a couple of months…

OK, see what being in a hurry does??? This is the painting Late Winter that Lucille posted above.

I like the last one: “Winter Morning In the Rockies”. It is for sale for $15,500, size 40″ x 50″.

In the bottom right corner of that one there is a large brown rock that looked for all the world to me like a deer without a head. I looked and looked for the deer’s head (is it behind the tree? where is it?) before realizing it is a rock. LOL.

That’s my favorite. Phil Starke’s website has an abundance of his works listed for sale. He’s a wonderful artist who has won many awards. I’d definitely be happy to put “Winter Morning In the Rockies” on my wall.

Morning everyone. Slept late! And it felt good. Going to be 68 degrees today, and sunny here.

Beautiful here today also. Finally, a few dry days in a row. The lawn is squishy, and the gravel and mud driveway is perilous.

Good afternoon, WeeWeed! Two of my friends have already received their first vaccinations. Both have heavy health problems and thought they should get them. Me? I’m still awaiting the results from the human trials they both put themselves into. We all know that this vaccine did not have extensive human trials before being placed out there. So if folks want to be guinea pigs, it’s up to them. But it’s “no” for me.

Mornin’ All. Overcast and coolish, 61* here this morning. The sun should be out soon and the temps will go up fast. Talked to my neighbor this morning. He is off work for another week because somebody tested positive for the WUFLU. They are a very hardworking family and he hates being off work.
My little doggie is driving me crazy. I think she doesn’t like me putting liquid in her dry food. I was putting water on it and she seemed to lose interest. So I got some chicken broth and some beef broth. She won’t eat the beef broth. She didn’t eat at all yesterday so, I finally threw out the dish with the beef broth and put water on it and she ate it. This morning I put water on it and she sniffed it and looked at me and walked off. I may have to start buying her canned food. She used to eat it all very fast but she doesn’t realize she doesn’t have any teeth to chew with now. 🙄

Does she eat the kibbles dry? It doesn’t matter if they go down whole; our border-mix gulps whole mice, and they come out same as everything else. Loki could be reflecting your anxiety as far as her meals are concerned. Did you find a toy she likes? I still say…kitten! 😉

The vet said not to give her hard food unless it was softened. But, I too am starting to have doubts that it is a problem, especially when you know it usually just goes down their throats without chewing anyway. As for the toys I’m sure I could please her if I just left the sliding door screen open and let in the lizards and squirrels to play with, I have visions of that scene in Christmas Vacation where the Rotty chases the squirrel and totally demolishes everything in the house.

I just put some kibble down and she vacuumed it up so fast I had to check to see if it was gone. As in…….completely gone.

I wouldn’t worry about the liquid, mom. Weather is right. If she swallows the kibble whole, it is just fine. Dogs don’t use their teeth to chew, just to kill and shred into swallowable size pieces. My old sled dog Bear had to have all his teeth pulled because they were rotten. Never slowed him down a bit. Loki is letting you know what she wants.

We’ve all done something like that at some point! With me it’s either I’m in a hurry (usual reason), I have too many things I’m thinking of at once, or I haven’t slept well.

Just yesterday I threw my dirty socks away and threw the junk mail in the laundry basket. Comes from thinking about the next thing instead of the one I’m doing at the moment. Turns out “multi-tasking” is limited to things like walking and chewing gum, not performing unique tasks. As we age we must focus on each task as we do it, to complete it correctly and set the memory of doing it. Otherwise, errors may be made, and/or we have to waste time retracing our steps to check what happened.

It especially hurts when I make these mistakes at work…LOL! The boss’s wife and I discuss this in length that our multi-tasking days are over! 🥴😉

There have actually been studies done where people have been tested on their multi-tasking skills. Come to find out, very few people can truly multi-task. They can switch quickly from one task to the next, but if they are trying to type a letter or an email while talking on the phone regarding some detailed endeavor, one will suffer. So………….don’t feel so bad. Just make sure you don’t leave too much food in the silverware drawer. 😉

I find that I forget where I put things away. Really important that I put things back where they belong. I spent an hour looking for the jar of Blue-Emu. I found it on the shelf in the old telephone niche in my hallway.

“If The “Experimental” COVID Vaccine Kills You Your Life Insurer (Probably) Does Not Have to Pay Benefits”
by Steve MacDonald / 4 March 2021
“If you’re rushing to get in line for the experimental COVID19 vaccine or are on the fence, you may want to take a step back. There are known side-effects, including death, and most insurers need not pay benefits. You did, after all, volunteer to take an unapproved chemical injection.
Every version of the vaccine being administered under the presumption that it will do something about SARS CoV2 is still unapproved. They are (literally) experimental. By signing up or getting in line, you are a willing participant in a global human trial with no guarantees.
Flu vaccines don’t prevent the flu or its spread.
Not one of these vaccines is officially approved for this use or any use by any official body.
Therefore, insurance companies are (typically) under no obligation to cover any cost associated with your voluntary participation in these human trials.
If they make you sick, your health insurance does not need to cover associated care.
If you die, Life insurers are under no obligation to pay death benefits.
And your political elites have ensured that neither you nor your family can sue the manufacturers or anyone in the chain of custody that brought this experimental vaccine from fabrication into your bloodstream.
For what?
A hyped-up flu virus that, like every flu before it, only claims the lives of the very old or very ill.
Why do you need it, or why would they make you take it?
Can you sue local, county, state, or federal governments who pushed it on you?
Could you sue an employer or service provider who refused you a service in the absence of proof you’d been immunized?
And what are you prepared to do concerning elected officials who scared you into getting it or the experts who sold you on it without telling you the risks, including how harms, including death, might not be covered by the insurance you have?
Call or write your insurance company and ask them. We think you’ll be unpleasantly surprised, after which you may want to stay the hell away from these vaccines until they have been tested and approved by some entity your insurers recognize.
And yes, we will happily correct the record for any insurer who tells you in writing that they will cover injury or death benefits connected to your voluntarily receiving the unapproved experimental COVID19 Vaccine.”
G&C’s comment – I’m not saying by reprinting this article don’t take it if you think you really need it. I’m saying be fully informed.

Maybe the report was mistaken, but I read Presler was one of those on January 6th who was encouraging people to enter the Capitol and literally pointing the way. I wonder if that was true. Wouldn’t he still be in jail if it were? Anyone know?

According to CBSNews, it will take 60 votes to pass a statehood bill. Haven’t found anything yet with respect to HR 1. I can’t believe something of this magnitude can get through on a 51-50 vote. But I guess we’ll see.

Doesn’t the bill need 60 votes and not just a simple majority? I think that’s what I read somewhere this morning. If that’s right, it will mean 10 Republicans will have to vote in favor and that’s not likely.

My friend and I are going to her time-share in Ormond Beach Sat. after this one. I usually pull my back loading and unloading the car before we even get there. So, I just ordered a dog ramp the will make it easier and less chance of pulling out my back. Hope this works. My dad used to say you need to work smarter, not harder.
