Biden administration prepares to open overflow facility for migrant children
US government holding center for migrant children in Carrizo Springs, Texas
The Biden administration is opening an overflow facility for unaccompanied migrant children apprehended at the US-Mexico border, the federal agency tasked with the children’s care told CNN in a statement.
The Health and Human Services Department will reopen a facility in Carrizo Springs, Texas, that can accommodate about 700 children and can be expanded if necessary.
Of course, CNN refers to the increase in the number of children apprehended as a “perceived” possible relaxation of enforcement. Yes, it is “perceived” because it is true.
As of Thursday, there were approximately 4,730 children in Office of Refugee Resettlement care.
“HHS is mindful of these children’s vulnerability, and our priority is the safety and wellbeing of each child in our care. HHS anticipates the need to start placing children at Carrizo Springs in 15 days or soon after,” the agency said in a statement, citing limited capacity due in part to Covid-19.
NOTE: The Biden administration is following the policies followed during the Trump administration. They are now preparing to expand the number of illegal immigrants accepted into our country.
The Department of Homeland Security is also beginning to expand its processing capacity. US Customs and Border Protection, for example, is building soft-sided structures in Donna, Texas, to provide processing capacity in the Rio Grande Valley, one of the busiest regions for illegal border crossings, due to a nearby processing center being closed because of renovation.
Just a reminder that the temporary holding “cages” were built and used during the Obama/Biden administration. Furthermore, during the Obama administration, children were released to people who were not parents or proper guardians because proper vetting was not practiced. The Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations opened its inquiry after law enforcement officials uncovered a human trafficking ring in Marion, Ohio, last year. At least six children were lured to the United States from Guatemala with the promise of a better life, then were made to work on egg farms. The children, as young as 14, had been in federal custody before being entrusted to the traffickers.
“It is intolerable that human trafficking — modern-day slavery — could occur in our own backyard,” said Senator Rob Portman, Republican of Ohio and the chairman of the subcommittee. “But what makes the Marion cases even more alarming is that a U.S. government agency was responsible for delivering some of the victims into the hands of their abusers.”

It is a clear attempt to bolster her obscene argument that these holding centers are the equivalent of “concentration camps, “another lie.
What exactly is she broken up about in these images? NBC News took the time to describe how HHS follows a strict schedule to occupy the children’s time each day that they are placed in this very location. “Children spend most of the day in fully enclosed air-conditioned tents, where they receive schooling, meals, and recreational activities,” they reported.

I am just blown away by the lies that the Dems are okay with telling. Surely not all of them think this is okay. Now, when someone asks about these children, they will make up all kinds of reasons that this is different than what Trump did.
