Censorship is all the vogue these days, and anybody can be told to shut up or else – particularly on social media platforms. As an aside, there are people advocating for shutting down cable news networks that lean right. CNN “news” people are in the vanguard of that push, and there are plenty of people on Twitter who think that it would be a dandy idea to have an expanded “Fairness Doctrine” controlling cable news.
Back to social media:
Facebook has censored a video of Cardinal Juan Sandoval Íñiguez, archbishop emeritus of Guadalajara, for suggesting that globalist leaders are exploiting the coronavirus pandemic to bring about a new world order.
In place of the cardinal’s weekly video, Facebook exhibited a greyed-out screenshot emblazoned with the banner “False information.” Underneath, Facebook added, “This publication repeats information about COVID-19 that independent fact checkers deemed false.”
On its Facebook page, Semanario Arquidiocesano Guadalajara, an information service run by the Archdiocese of Guadalajara, posted the following screenshot on January 13, along with the text “Cardinal Juan Sandoval denounced the imposition of a new world order, hours later his video was censored.”
The video is available on line (including YouTube), but I won’t post it here because it is in Spanish. You can seek it out and watch it, if you so desire.
In the nine-and-a-half-minute January 12 video, bearing the title “Plot of a new world order,” the cardinal begins by saying, “Dear friends, this will go on for a long time.”
“This pandemic won’t end in a month or two months, perhaps not this year, perhaps not in three, four, five, six years,” he said. “That’s what these men want. It will be a long haul.”
“It’s a tough, difficult situation, the likes of which has not been seen in human history,” he said. “Bill Gates is a prophet and foretells the future,” the cardinal noted wryly, “and not only did he predict the coming of the coronavirus, but has also warned of a possible future smallpox pandemic.”
During the pandemic, Cardinal Sandoval has criticized the shuttering of businesses and services as disproportionate measures to curb the spread of the virus.
“What they’re after is a world government, a new world order,” the cardinal asserts in the video.
“They want a single world government, a single army, a single currency, a single economy, and also a single religion — that will certainly not be the Christian religion,” he said. “It will be the religion of Mother Earth, in the name of humanity and universal brotherhood.”
“To this end, pandemics serve to weaken nations; they impoverish and indebt them, bringing down their economies,” Sandoval said. “They also weaken education, closing schools and replacing them with distance learning.”
“These pandemics also impede religious practice, as we saw all last year,” he said. “They close the churches, reduce the number of people who can worship.”
“But above all, they are creating fear, a terrible fear among the people,” he warned.
Note: There have a been a number of conservatives who think that Tulsi Gabbard is a middle of the road kind of politician. Looking at the Wikipedia entry on the Fairness Doctrine, I read this:
On September 19, 2019, Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) introduced H.R. 4401 Restore the Fairness Doctrine Act of 2019 in the House of Representatives, 116th Congress. Rep. Gabbard was the only sponsor. H.R. 4401 was immediately referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on the same day. It was then referred to the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology on September 20, 2019.[50]
H.R. 4401 would mandate equal media discussion of key political and social topics, requiring television and radio broadcasters to give airtime to opposing sides of issues of civic interest.[51][52] The summary reads: “Restore the Fairness Doctrine Act of 2019. This bill requires a broadcast radio or television licensee to provide reasonable opportunity for discussion of conflicting views on matters of public importance.[53] The Restore the Fairness Doctrine Act would once again mandate television and radio broadcasters present both sides when discussing political or social issues, reinstituting the rule in place from 1949 to 1987 […]. Supporters argue that the doctrine allowed for a more robust public debate and affected positive political change as a result, rather than allowing only the loudest voices or deepest pockets to win.”[54]

Doesn’t sound very “middle of the road” to me.

I looked it up. It seemingly died in committee.

Dave Rubin interviewed Tulsi Gabbard just last week. There are 5 or 6 vids on Rubin’s youtube page.
Social Media Purge, Big Tech & Special Announcement | Tulsi Gabbard | DIRECT MESSAGE | Rubin Report 30:48
Gabbard sounds good. But just like the others, she wants gubmint to dictate the direction and actions of everyone else’s lives.
Very definition of a Swamp Creature. imo

I watched some of it last week. I like Dave Rubin too, but he is probably quite a bit left of me ideologically. I guess every person has something to offer. I would never vote for Tulsi Gabbard to represent me.

I consider Rubin to be left of center.
She must be being groomed by the powers that be to run for the presidency.
Tulsi is trying to portray herself as a Centrist, she isn’t. I faintly remember some of her comments that put her far left.

I have not been as diligent in catching the news as I should have been and I missed those calling Tulsi as being “middle of the road”.
Are they shills for the NWO or pseudo-conservatives (Never Trumpers), RINOs, … ?
Many people still call Colin Powell a Republican.

I just answered this tweet by a conservative:
“If it had to be a Democrat that took over POTUS, I wish it would have been Tulsi.”
Dave Rubin has also given her positive air time.
I think there is an impression among some that she is middle of the road, even if they don’t use those words.

There are TV stations that carry a video of a burning fireplace 24/7 that have a larger audience than daytime CNN –
MAYBE the problem is CNN.

If the Left is in so much control, how come such a huge military presence in D.C. for a virtual inauguration? If the Left has censored almost all the social media platforms of the Right voices, why the show of force? Why are the soldiers checking ID on leaving D.C.? Maybe certain individuals must be kept inside the confines? Possible Barb wire on the inside of fences surrounding the Capitol building? That’s the way prisons are set up. Parades are cancelled, no? Conservatives aren’t known to destroy things and riot. POTUS has been awful quiet recently. The calm before the storm??? Gotta get my new supply of popcorn!

Violence emanates from the Left, aka Democrats.
You may be onto something with barb wire inside the fence surrounding the capitol building being turned into a prison. Most of them ought to be in prison, which includes their staff.

25,000 troops in DC seems to be overdoing, whatever they are doing. But they are from the 50 states, which means they are complete strangers to each other which means they are less likely to stage a coup. Afraid of a million bikers showing up for the inauguration? Within 72 hours of the call?

It isn’t based in reality, clearly. It is a show of strength by the left. “We won and we are in charge, and the military is on our side. Defy us and you will be sorry.”

If that is their reasoning, they are in for a rude awakening if they attempt to turn them on the average citizen. I believe the vast majority will uphold the oath they took which in part goes “against all enemies foreign and domestic”.
