Even a broken clock is right twice a day. She’s crazier than a June-bug, but at least she has a smidgen of a conscience. We are going to need all the help we can get.

I remember some years back where a doctor performing a late-term abortion produced a viable fetus and ordered the nurses not to touch it, to leave it out to die. There was some ‘ongoing’ investigation that went on long enough for the public’s short-term attention to wander elsewhere.

If you have a pension, you may not want to read this if you’ve ever heard of the PBGC.
FTA – “The Multiemployer Program remains severely underfunded with liabilities of $66.9 billion but only $3.1 billion in assets as of September 30, 2020,
This is not for all of the pensions they back, but we should all be concerned when a gubmint agency is that deep in hock. I guess they actually look at their books.

Well both of my pensions are funded by the Federal government and it’s ‘unfundedness’ is worse than that.

Hope you had a good day, WeeWeed! TIME was co-founded by Henry Luce, a staunch Republican. He campaigned for Barry Goldwater. Both of them would be ashamed to be in the same party as the RINOs who aren’t standing up for our President Trump during this time of theft, lies, and rotten game playing.
God bless America!

You know He laughed. And for us Catholics, who believe the priest is in persona Christi during the Mass, she just high fived Jesus, which way, way cool.

Afternoon Weather!

Mornin’ all. It is overcast and foggy and sort of drizzly here. It was warmer when I got up this morning, up in the 60’s. I had mailed two pkgs to my DIL last week, Dec. 2nd, and they said it would be there by Sat. Well, my DIL asked me to check on it because it still wasn’t there last night. So I set up the notifications with the PO and this morning I got 13 texts. The pkgs are supposed to be there today. I guess we will see. Hope everyone has a nice day, even with the bad weather.

Yep, we have nasty weather too aus, but it is going to be a fine day anyhow. FWIW, many of my packages are late, and a small, but increasing number of Amazon packages just get lost.

I’m having the same experience. Just had to start all over on an item I originally ordered on Nov. 29th. Now it likely won’t arrive until Dec. 28th. And I was so proud of myself for being early, for once.

Well come on now, ain’t like you’re downtown LA.

A couple of months back I sent an overnight USPS letter to my son. It took 4 days to get there and when I contacted the PO to get my money back they said: “Well, with the COVID and all you take your chances we can get it there on time. The delay wasn’t our fault so you don’t get your money back'”

Oh, that would piss me off. Grrrrrr.

Didn’t make me any too happy, especially since the week before and just over a week later I sent overnights to the same address and they all got there on time.

Good afternoon, aus! It’s around 30 degrees here. Very sparse snow which turned to ice overnight is still on the ground but we’ll get a respite from falling snow today. Tomorrow starts near-24/7 snow through the end of the year.
Right now everything is still and quiet sort of like this photo…

Gee. I guess you aren’t in Florida. 🙄 I used to love it when it snowed like that. But, then, I didn’t have anyplace to go.

That’s how I look at it…since I don’t have to be out in the storm, I love looking at it.

I’m confused!
OK, I know I’ve been unable to read all the posts this week, but what’s going on with Caturday and Doggity day??? Have we all entered the Twilight Zone???
Help! 😉

Well, I have been confused, too. I believe Caturday was on Wednesday, or maybe it was Thursday. And, I think I missed Doggityday. Today is Saturday. Is that right? Maybe it is the Twilight Zone. It has seemed that way for a while.

I was looking for one of the scenes from Abbot & Costello when Costello does his trademark “I’m confused!” Hahaha!
I’m guessing the HOHOHO! kitty’s were a joke, so maybe today is for the pups 😉
I’m a Traditionalist so here’s one for Doggity day which I would normally post after New Year’s, but with this summer’s back injury, I’m posting it before. Not sure any photos will be available post-holidays! Hahaha!
and here is one for today’s Caturday from Swedish Canary:
I’m getting to be like a lot of old coots and Newfoundland dogs – don’t move things around! 😉

How can we all be getting so old when we don’t feel old? At least my mind doesn’t. The body is a whole other issue, sometimes it feels ancient.

I understand my grandmother so much more now than I did as a youth. I remember asking her once, “how come you groan every time you sit down?” Her answer was “one day you’ll know.”

About 20 years ago I can recall my Dad talk about getting old, as he was turning 65. I asked him about the manual and he just laughed. A couple years ago as I was approaching 60, he and I were talking and I told him I understood why they didn’t have that manual. No one would believe what’s coming, nor would we ever agree to the terms. He just winked at me. 😉

Ditto. My mother once said to me, “Sometimes I notice my reflection in a window or a mirror and say, Who is that old woman?”

It’s me who screwed up this week. Wednesday should be Doggityday and Saturday is Caturday. I’ll go ahead and post Caturday now.

That was kind of funny, Stella. My first thought when I saw the cat thing the other day was, “Well, once again I don’t actually know what day it is….” – then after I confirmed that it actually wasn’t Saturday, I just dropped it! The required analysis seemed to be more than I cared to do.
That’s one thing about being (1) so completely retired; (2) tired; and, (3) in seven months of lockdown (but who’s counting? will March never end??) ….the list of things a person thinks are really important gets shorter and more focused.
Self care is important. Groceries are important. Knowing what day it is??? Meh……

The big question from what I’ve seen and wished I didn’t online is: Do you have pants on??? 😉
LikeLiked by 3 people
I’m old school. I think being dressed for the day includes head to toe. Even in a lockdown.
Never know when somebody is going to show up at the front door telling me to board the bus for the kamp – they’ll be sorry I was on their list to pick up. Being fully dressed for person-to-person explanations is best. I’ve got seven months of suppressed disgust and fury looking for a target and I’m getting to the point where I’m not real picky about what or who that target will be.

Which reminds me of something I saw this week. If you say “pants” in England, you are talking about underwear. What we call pants (yoga pants, dress pants etc), they call “trousers”.

This would have made a good, short psychological study Hahaha!

Antrim County, Michigan will be the focus of patriots across America come Monday….
Will A Small County In Northern Michigan Be The Key To Overturning The Nation’s Election Results? America Should Find Out On Monday
By Joe Hoft – Published December 12, 2020 at 7:46pm
In a solidly red county in northern Michigan where Trump banners, flags, and yard signs can be found in almost every front yard, voters woke up to discover Joe Biden had walloped President Trump, only to find out shortly later that Dominion voting machines flipped thousands of votes cast for Trump to his Democratic challenger Joe Biden. The media called it a “glitch” and blamed it on human error.
