The team is doing the migration a little bit earlier than we had anticipated. The reason? WordPress has been messing with various administrative aspects of the blog, trying to make it as difficult as possible for us in these last days.

I read how they cut off automatic checking comments. I wondered why on one article there were so many bad comments that we would never see otherwise. How sleazy that they’d do that so trolls could post bad comments! But that is the opposition. What I wonder is if trolls were notified of the automatic function being taken down, or are there really that many trolls trying to get in every day?
Will you need extra help real time manually checking comments for a few days that people can sign up to help with?

We have/had a “black list” that prevents comments from certain email and IP addresses. WordPress deleted it and wouldn’t let us recreate it (we had the data saved). They also removed the option to prevent new people from commenting without moderator approval. We couldn’t restore that either.
Now we have done everything we can to prevent new comments during the migration, but people have found a way around via phone or Reader, and aren’t realizing that we DON’T want new comments during the migration. All new comments are now being deleted.
As for “extra help”, no we won’t be asking anybody outside of our current admin staff.

Was coming over to see if you’d mentioned it and yes you have. One of my friends who’s an IT geek volunteered to help move the site (don’t know if he is but he’ll tell me later), he hasn’t been there as long as I have but he’s totally addicted to it.

SD just did a post about it too. It’s been a bit challenging to get the comments completely shut down, but I think that has finally been accomplished.

I logged out over there, came over here and I could comment but when I went to sign in here I got, for the first time ever, the administrator’s dashboard. Usually I get signed in but get a ‘you can’t touch dis’ message.

Woo Hoo, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh (one of THE top pioneers in Iran’s nuke program) is now doing inventory on his corral of virgins. Seems someone, on a road just outside of Tehran, done popped a cap in his butt…Tehran’s #1 nuke pioneer gets popped right in the middle of Iran…by whom?
He makes, I believe, 4 of their top nuke bomb makers who’ve been sent to the arms of Allah in the last ten years. Seems those Iranian security folk don’t be doin’ they jobs, popping hi-valu targets right in downtown Iran has to be an embarrassment for the mullahs. Ah well, all’s well that ends well.

It also seems I’m not the only one with a slight suspicion that the Turks may have been involved to some degree.
I’ve been saying next door for years that Turkey wants to restart the Ottoman Empire and the only country that could really oppose it (other than nuke-armed Israel) would be potentially nuke-armed Iran. Whereas Israel wouldn’t consider Turkey as much of a direct threat as Iran, it would be in both of their benefits to have Iran’s nuke program stopped – enemy of mine enemy and all that.
If we go back to the 80s and 90s when Russia, Argentina, France and China were helping Iran develop’peaceful’ atomic energy programs. OK, France did back out for a while but after some French hostages were taken and a few French assassinated, France was right back into the game. Whereas the US put pressure on the other actors to stop cooperating with Iran all it seems to have done is move the support underground and slow the nuke project while Iran developed its own domestic resources.
Let’s see if the Biden/Harris ‘Death to America 2.0’ administration stays with the program of actively attacking Iran’s nuke program or if family members find themselves as board members of Iran’s Bomb the Infidels nuke commission.

Mornin’ everyone. Looks like a few of you woke up bright and early this morning. My little Loki must have an internal clock. Just before dawn, she jumps up on the bed and snuggles up against my back. At 7:30, almost on the dot, she starts jumping up and down on me saying “get up, get up, get up.” So, I am going to bed a little earlier to make up that time I can’t sleep in the morning now. Annnnnd, now that we have had our walk, and she has had her breakfast, she is asleep again.
I hope everything goes smoothly at the Treehouse. Moving is always so much work.

Good afternoon, aus! Ah, yes, the occasional trying attitude of our little treasures…and we’re the ones who must adapt. LOL!
All is quiet at my house until I put feet to the floor. Then they come running in, rubbing against my legs and meowing. Ms. Bee is the worst. I’ve tried telling her that those who meow will be put at the end of the priority line, but to little avail. Both DO understand the word “no” and sometimes even obey it.
But we love them…most days.

Toning to do with Bama the team. Around here Bama fans, indeed, many of the SEC fans are obnoxious ignorant snots. I equally hate Tennessee fans, and I’ve lived in Tennessee or Georgia all my life. So far, I’ve found Georgia and Auburn fans to be friendly competitors who love their teams.
Of course there are many exceptions. One of my best friends, a man I respect and admire, is a big Bama fan. It’s just that the bad ones are so bad I can’t tolerate them.

I agree that there are many that don’t know how to play the rivalry game to have fun with it. I have had the pleasure of members of the family ,as well as friends, that attended both universities!! On FOX and FRIENDS, Steve Doocy made something with piecrust. He rolled out a piecrust like a pizza. Then he put potatoes, gravy, pieces of turkey, cranberry sauce, and I don’t remember what else, on it. Then they baked it in the oven till the crust was done. It looked pretty good. Kind of a Thanksgiving pizza.

I spoke with my BIL who lives in BC. My sister died a couple of years ago. He is very upset about COVID. I tried to tell him that the stories around it are a hoax but realized very quickly he couldn’t understand. His only living family member is his 95 year old mother who is in a home and now has COVID. He is scared to death because he is over 65, overweight, and smokes. He bought a huge number of N95 masks and uses a new one if he goes out around people. He lives pretty far out and is somewhat isolated. He is also a liberal. He doesn’t realize anything about the New World Order or anything like that.

Well, I’m feeling smart right now. I wanted to make some mashed potatoes to go with my turkey leftovers. So, I peeled and chopped up 6 big potatoes and am boiling them. Then, I can make one serving of mashed potatoes, home fries for breakfast, potato salad, and whatever else comes to mind this week.

The restaurant we went to on Thanksgiving, charged $14.00 for a turkey dinner. My friend thought that was awful. However. I have gotten 3 full meals out of it, plus a serving of slaw to eat with a hot dog, and a huge piece of pumpkin pie that I still have to eat. I don’t feel overcharged at all. Oh, yes, that included several glasses of tea and a tea to go.

I got an email from Intellectual Froglegs and there was an interview with Gen. Flynn and Gen. McInerney (or something like that). OMG He said that raid in Germany was of the CIA and some of our military was injured or killed. You should listen to it. Very intresting. Especially the last half of it. It is an hour long, but even I, with my short attention span couldn’t tear myself away.
