Would not surprise me in the least. I remember the Smart Thermostats that allows bureaucrats to control your natural gas or electric use. I have read about the camera’s in your Smart TV recording all that occurs in front of it and records conversations within range.

People have become used to gross intrusion, look at The Mirror, Amazon Echo, Google Home, the modem in your new car – there’s no place left alone.

I know, then there is the camera recording everything. Some people want to go with a cashless economy. I like paying cash for certain things. She had a near fit when she saw half my ammo stash. A record of every place you shop and go with your cell phone can be placed alongside every phone call, text, email, etc.

The cashless/digital economy will open up EVERY purchase you make to anyone with access to your records. As I posted recently, just wait until the single-payer medical system meets the digital currency and you get a ticket for buying a Whopper as you have high cholesterol.

I was in one of my finer moves one day. I was stopped at long red light and saw all the cameras. I went through the intersection with my left hand out the window giving them the one-finger salute.
