When I first clicked on this, it said unavailable. So, I went back to the original page (I don’t know if this equates in any way with what you do) and clicked on it again and it finally worked.
I don’t remember this song. But, then, I wasn’t into the Beatles much.

I have the vinyl album (original from the 1960’s) and the CD.

I was in Germany so I have some of the European releases. I can’t hear an older Beatles song without immediately going back to a particular place in Germany…usually an imbishalle or gasthaus. Or an old girlfriend.

Music does that. Whenever I hear a cut from the Revolver album, I see myself standing in the living room of a high school friend, Curt. His dad was a doctor, and he was very smart. He served in Nam, came home, got married, and became a CPA, working at first for the IRS. I learned much later that he died at the age of 35, but I don’t know why.

So many good tracks on this album. Eleanor Rigby, Yellow Submarine, Good Day Sunshine, and this one:

Listened to them so many times the songs’ lyrics run into one long poem….

Is this our future?
Nah, ima Russian optimist – things will always get worse.
Love this song. The Beatles went kinda flakey, but their music remained pretty good, both together and separately.
Ok, except Ringo.

This and Rubber Soul IMHO had a much broader impact culturally than Sgt Pepper, though the latter did remain on many a turntable for over a year.
Jeans2nd, don’t be too rough on Ringo, 365 songs/2 drum solo’s. On the bright side he does look much better these days than Paul.

I agree, Gary. Those two were the cross over albums. Love both. Also like the White Album a lot. Of course, the Beatles were part of my young adult life, so I hold a special place for them in my memories.

Paul and George had a good ear for the times and tailored their albums just right. Must have been neat to be in the same room with both while they were creating, must have taken days to wash the ichor off of the walls.

We saw Paul on the TV doing a gig a few years back and he was terrible, more like he’s a celeb due to what he’s done and not his ability to still do.
